Given that the original claim was posted back in 2006 I doubt the ISP who posted this will be back anytime soon to respond to it... There are certainly plenty of sources online for Pietro Cardino confirming that he was born in Italy. But I would say he is considered a French fashion designer despite his birthplace. Palais Bulles not built by Cardin

The construction of the Palais Bulles was unrelated to Cardin. The article on the building clearly states, that it was built by the architect Antti Lovag at the behest of the industrialist Pierre Bernard. Cardin merely bought the house. Any objects to a revision? (Lucas(CA) (talk) 01:00, 11 January 2020 (UTC))

Rewrite

Article needs a big rewrite. Repetition, ambiguity, lack of sourcing, gibberish and potential close paraphrasing.

Look at the bit where we discuss mini/maxi skirts of 1970s and then the next paragraph. Seems to be discussing broadly the same thing but, as a complete non-fashionista, it also makes no sense to me because mini skirts are popularly associated with the 1960s. The entire article is sloppy and my recent edits just touch the surface. - Sitush (talk) 03:49, 15 March 2020 (UTC)

LGBT categories

"Mostly gay" in Pierre_Cardin#Personal_life

I don't know how to rephrase this, but it's clearly problematic at the moment. Do we have sources saying he was bisexual, for instance? AleatoryPonderings (???) (!!!) 17:47, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

In both sources for the section (and in a few more) he is identified as "openly homosexual". I'd simply remove "mostly" from the paragraph - one heterosexual affair doesn't mean he wasn't gay. Several articles ([1][2][3][4][5]) also speak of Cardin's relationship with Andre Oliver, his assistant. Perhaps this should be mentioned? KtosKto64 (talk) 22:08, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
