The phenol molecule in water has a dipole moment of 1.7 Debye. therefore, it is a polar molecule. In the wiki "Phenol extration"of DNA, phenol is characterized as "nonpolar." So, this needs to be corrected. 158.51.117.14 (talk) 03:44, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
