Paul Chapman (footballer, born 1981)Paul Chapman (footballer) – Move back to the original title. A Welsh association footballer with the same name exists, but is yet to have an article. Not a good reason to disambiguate further. And perhaps the mover of the page should in future check which sport the subject of the article plays before citing the guidelines of an unrelated WikiProject. • Paul Chapman (Australian footballer) is my preference, as per the discussion from 3 years ago, that didn't really achieve consensus. I would bet that NO ONE would know what year the two players were born in, but everyone interested in these two players would know them by occupation (footballer) and nationality, so despite the interesting guideline change to (footballer, born XXXX), I will be WP:IAR and sticking with (footballer) if there are no other footballers of any code, of any nationality; (Australian footballer) if there exists a non-Australian of the same name who plays any football code; and (Australian rules footballer) if there is another Australian who plays a different code of football. Birth year only comes in to consideration after that. Incidentally, until this page move, we had 100% of the pages needing birth year located at "born XXXX", and none at ", born XXX". So, no, I won't be moving or complying with the comma recommendation, as it is unnecessary and goes against the conciseness provision of the naming convention guideline. • I normally would've just moved it back, but the mover changed the target of the redirect, I'm not an administrator, blah blah blah, hence the RM. IgnorantArmies 06:54, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
