( feel free to answer the questions in parentheses on the side) *** WHAT DOES THIS PARENTHESIZED PHRASE MEAN?? Can someone clarify it? Where "in parentheses" and what "side" of what?!? Is this boilerplate for all Talk pages? If so, yikes! *** Jjzanath (talk) 07:16, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

What does it mean?Before

What does para mean as in paranormal? before normal

Answer: "para" means 'above,' 'against,' 'counter,' 'outside,' or 'beyond'.

Why aren't the standard Greek meanings for Para ("para-" also links to this page) a topmost, separate category? edit

I'm doing academic work involving meta- and para-, and in looking for Wiki's definitions, find that the Para (capitalized or not, hyphenated or not - all lead to the one page) page lacks any reference to the Greek word and its several meanings! Entertainment and Chemistry yes, plain old term meaning, nyet -- is this typical? WOuld someone feel like adding this category of disambiguation in, preferably at or pretty close to the top of the list due to its generality? Thanks for any authoritative contribution!
