Fair use rationale for Image:PSA Peugeot Citroen.PNG

Image:PSA Peugeot Citroen.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Here is a question I hope can be answered. On the Peugeot website, it mentions that due to current regulations their vehicles can not be imported into the USA or Canada. What are those regulations? Are they specific to this manufacturer, or does it cover other manufacturers?

"Automobiles Peugeot does not manufacture vehicles that conform to current United States regulations. For this reason it is unfortunately impossible for anyone to import a Peugeot model into the USA . Should anybody attempt to do so, the vehicle will be blocked at the port of arrival and will not be allowed to be operated in the USA and Canada .

As of this date, Automobiles Peugeot has no plan for resuming the sales of its vehicles in the USA or Canada " http://www.peugeot.com/regions/en/amerique.htm#

Speculation about acquisitions and partnerships

I removed a large addition of unsourced speculation and assumptions about the likely outcome of various negotiations taking place between PSA, GM, Proton and others. We need to wait for the outcome of these to be made public before jumping to conclusions, and we need to reference reliable sources for anything we add. -- de Facto (talk). 21:18, 28 February 2017 (UTC)

Recent jumble of changes and possible need to discard

I notice that @Etonmessisthebest: has made quite significant changes and additions to this article recently.

I note that this edit has a summary which claims:- "Reverted to revision 768523962 by Magioladitis (talk): This is the most accurate version of this article and is free from the subsequent vandalism of later edits."

This is (possibly) slightly disingenuous, since Magioladitis' edit was little more than a few punctuation fixes on top of Etonmessisthebest's far more extensive changes immediately preceding it, i.e. it's essentially his/her own favoured version.

I'll note that in response to previous reversions because Etonmessisthebest had not cited their claims, they *did* include citations when inserting a new paragraph, but only two of them, which is far too little for the number of claims being made.

Given the amount of rapid change and reversion this article is undergoing due to being in the news, I'm wary of dubiously-inserted and half-baked content inadvertantly getting left in, and I'd consider it preferable to revert to an earlier, more stable version once this has died down, then use that as the basis for more considered changes even if it meant some good edits were lost.

Frankly, there's just too much unreliable rubbish being inserted to keep track of, and we can't risk keeping all of it for the sake of some minor improvements that don't outweigh the negatives. Ubcule (talk) 19:29, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Comment - Can you provide evidence from sources that "PSA Group" is more common in WP:ENGLISH than "Groupe PSA"? There's also a strong argument that "Peugeot Citroën" or a variation on that is more recognisable to a typical reader. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 09:58, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

which you will note took place the day after the corporate rebranding... hardly likely to have been supported by reliable secondary sources.
