Thiol affinity gels edit

In molecular biology organomercury agarose gel beds are used to capture thiols or thioketones, not sure how though. --Squidonius (talk) 11:10, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • we definitely need an article on that subject V8rik (talk) 20:01, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Made a kind of stub, wrote it from the chemistry side of things not the bio to keep with the article. --Squidonius (talk) 12:08, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Definition edit

Definition is C-Hg-compound. Why is Hg(II)acetate featured too. Wider definition? GEEZERnil nisi bene 07:15, 6 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

The places I see that chemical mentioned are where it is a precursor to an actual C–Hg compound. Could you be more specific where you see this chemical itself called an organomercury or used in a reaction that does not have one? DMacks (talk) 07:27, 6 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
