Thank you for the feedback about the global perspective. I will include some more info about international organic certifying bodies and products. i think there is nothing here that could not be merged into organic food or organic cotton article. there are not a lot of references here and non whatsoever that underline the notability of organic baby products... are we also going to have an article on organic t-shirts or organic tomato sauce?? There are indeed specific issues relating to babies and children that are pertinent to thier use of Organics, specifically nontoxic products.
The Toxins which we are asttempting to avoid by using Organic Products are Hormine disruptors and bioaccumulative toxins, both of which have a higher deleterious impact upon infants and children by virtue of thier developmental stage thier food consumed to body wieght ratio. Exposure to horme disruptors is a different concern for a fully grown adult, and a child who has yet to hit puberty. The incidence of early puberty in girls is a concern as the longer aoutn of time between first menses and pregnancy increases risk of Breast and Uterine cancers. Organic means without synthetic materials. It means "built with once living organisms".
