I din't say it confusues me, I understand it. Other don't. How about adding background in some background informatiuon so that other people understand it. Heck, its not even a full sentence and doesn't even clarify what it is talking about. I know what a strigraphic zone is, but what about others. As it is, it is unencyclopedic and poor writing.
