Talk:Open Cobalt

I'd like to see whoever complained about the promotional nature of the article to please explain their point of view more fully. It seems to me that the article accurately describes a uniquely innovative software system that's entirely free and open source; who is thought to benefit from "advertising" it? It's been a week since I posted the above inquiry. No response here from user 'Anniepoo' who I believe added the 'newsrelease' tag inappropriately more than a month ago. I am removing the tag because as far as I can tell, the article is entirely factually accurate about a uniquely innovative software system, which is still under development. The unique and unprecedented functionality of this system makes it appropriate to discuss in an encyclopedic reference that includes articles about software. Also, as far as I can tell, there is no reported controversy or detraction about this system. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.233.51.56 (talk) 12:49, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

hyperbole edit

"technology makes it easy to create" should read

"technology once claimed to make it easy to create "

WP has no need of advert's for moribund projects any more than advert's for live projects' hyperbolic claims. Makes it easier to tell real products and real tools from more smoke and mirrors.
