Recent edits edit

Recent edits prove once more than that fan-boys with relatively low experience brand a musical band with inteligent agenda as a pop-musical fenomenon, like a sparkly joyous ride with popcorn YouTube that deserves to be calculated and rematerialized!!! And you guys Bulba$aur and Dorisdanglehoff are messing the thing further! You didn't check anything! You just armed yourself with a lot of info and decided to paste it like a math system with 1.2.3.2 subheadings that are so staggering and so uploamy, that I don't know what the hell is this article about!! And I've been working my ass off since the begining of the resource of English Wikipedia!! I am getting massive edit underway that will try to comprise with your bety-mied version and something that is better! Better check my page on, on who I am and what I've done! You'll get the editor I am!

Start class? edit

How exactly is this article start class? I'm no expert in the rating system, but it seems to me that it's a little bigger and better-sourced than a start-class article. Supernerd11 :D Firemind ^_^ Pokedex 16:17, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Missing Bios? edit

Why do some of the band members not have their own wikipedia articles? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.177.72.1 (talk) 17:59, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Every article in Wikipedia has to conform to some rules about notability. I.e., is this person notable enough to merit their own article? If we did not have such rules, every person on earth could have their own Wikipedia article, and that would make the encyclopedia hard to maintain. Notability is NOT inherited from one thing to another - just because OK Go is notable enough to merit this article, it does not mean all of the members are automatically notable. Specifically WP:BAND outlines the rules for musical groups, you might note the quote at the bottom of that section:

Note that members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases.

That having been said, its possible the two band members who do not yet have biographies might qualify - I haven't researched it myself. If you'd like to propose creation of them, you can do so over at the Articles for Creation page. Thanks. --Krelnik (talk) 20:52, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

"...in one take"? edit

At the end of the first paragraph of the entry, it states "The band is known for its quirky and elaborate music videos which are often filmed in one take." From what I've seen, the videos look like they consist of a single shot, but where is the evidence that they only did it in one take? I believe it's possible, just would like an attribution. 2600:1700:DA87:8400:687C:B711:622A:5692 (talk) 16:38, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Did some research, "one take" is inaccurate: http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/03/03/ok.go.video/index.html#:~:text=The%20video%20was%20shot%20by,tire%20rolls%20down%20a%20ramp. 2600:1700:DA87:8400:687C:B711:622A:5692 (talk) 16:39, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
The terms "long take" and "single-shot video" are synonymous in terms of music videos. There's no reason to split hairs on this. Binksternet (talk) 20:56, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
