This sentence needs help edit

This sentence makes no sense from a grammer standpoint. It's like someone took a bunch of completely different sentences, cut them each in half and then tried to combine them all into one sentence. "Bi-Han's downfall from being a human original Sub-Zero into a special revenant Noob Saibot is soon being mentioned by his younger brother, the current Sub-Zero and Scorpion Mortal Kombat X." --Anthony (talk) 04:28, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Noob Saibot's Appearance is incorrect edit

Noob saibot did not first appear in MK4 but in the Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

Erm, it doesn't say that anywhere in the article. Besides, his first appearance was MKII.Virogtheconq 17:45, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merged with Elder Sub-Zero's information edit

As the viewer can see, this article has been updated with all information pertaining to his life as Sub-Zero. This has been done in an effort to reduce the size of the main Sub-Zero article, as well to compile all relevent data about the character into one article, as it should be. Shadaloo 08:13, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Just a suggestion, but perhaps in the infobox we could separate some of the sections (I was thinking Appearances and Portrayers) into Sub-Zero and Noob subsections, since it's not clearly marked elsewhere which appeared in what game/production. Virogtheconq 21:02, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've been a mortal kombat fan a long time. When and where did he become noob saibot? Was this the cartoon series? perhaps a later video game series? For what I knew, sub-zero was just subzero, and noob-saibot was just noob saibot. There was no name carry-over or some other thing like that. I grew up during the mortal kombat 1, 2, 3, and cartoon age. So, I'm assuming this was in the new games? I don't get what's going on in this article. - User: Cyberman

It was part of the storyline to MK: Deception. I'll take a look at the article and see if it can't be made a little more clear from the outset. Virogtheconq 16:29, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Personally, I can see why Wikipedia does not condone the in-universe format. Unless you're a big Mortal Kombat fan who follows each new installment religiously, there's no way of knowing how hell did the Old Sub-Zero became Noob Saibot. In the real world, the character was Noob Saibot first and then revealed to be the Old Sub-Zero second, not the other way around. The Sub-Zero should cover both Sub-Zeros, not just the current one. Jonny2x4 02:03, 28 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

The older Sub-Zero died and became Noob Saibot, since they are technically the same person they are both listed in the article, and thats how it should be BassxForte 06:37, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also note that the fact that the older Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot are the same person explains quite a few things, No.1, why Noob wasn't present in Mytholgies, Noob wasn't actually created since he was srill Sub-Zero, No.2, the presence of the Freeze and Shatter fatality in MK4, there's prob a few others i'm not mwntioning here as well. BassxForte 20:31, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

No. You're wrong. Noob Saibot was a character introduced in Mortal Kombat II who was revealed to be original Sub Zero in Mortal Kombat Deception. THAT's the perspective the article should take. A real world one, not an in-universe. Jonny2x4 21:47, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agreed with Jonny2x4. The most well-known character in the real world is the original Sub-Zero. Noob Saibot was a hidden character whose identity they decided to merge with Sub-Zero later on. The page should be titled Sub-Zero and written from a non-revisionist perspective. Tajmahall (talk) 09:23, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nope. Information on both Sub-Zero characters should be on Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat). It should be explained that the "character who appears in Mortal Kombat II and onward is the younger brother of the Sub-Zero from the first game." Jonny2x4 (talk) 14:48, 6 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

MK4/Gold Noob Saibot edit

While browsing some MK4 codes, I came across a guide that said that one of Noob Saibots fatalities was Deep Freeze. No button combonation was given, and therefore I am skeptical. Have you ever seen this happen or done the fatality because if you have, it should be noted in this page. This is because that would have been a hint he was the original Sub Zero way earlier than everybody thinks. --DragonMaster 02:29, 12 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I'm pretty sure that fatality is complete b.s. --Buzda

-->Lol. Yeah, most likely. However, if it did exist, then it was very well hidden. --DragonMaster 02:38, 26 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Actually, you can do it by entering the Fatality 1 (or Fatality 2, for a differeent one) in the hidden menu.

I use the PC version and Noob uses Reiko's fatalities(at leasst in my copy of the game). But I have sen the Deep Freeze fatality with Noob Saibot on YouTube. I don't have the link, though. Dmr2hn1 17:40 07.05.2007

Sub-Zero's name edit

Ed Boon himself has confirmed the name of both Sub-Zero's to be Tsui, and Yong Park. The novel was compiled of ideas from Ed Boon himself, and even though the name Tsui Yong Park appear to be the name of Scorpion and his son in the novel, that was the intended name of the two Sub-Zero's. This will be one of the unlockable features in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon's version of the Krypt where Ed Boon will place the real names of the two brothers. Will be contacting someone to send actual proof of this and it will come from the "man" and be posted here ASAP.

  • Wikipedia is a compendium of what IS, not what will be. And I ask for proof of this alleged statement. Date, time, and location. The MK canon goes by what is stated in the games, and there has been no mention of that name in any of them so far. Shadaloo 16:23, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Very well. I look forward to seeing official information from an official source. In the possible eventuality of fraudulent E-mail accounts, I will verify with Midway offices. Shadaloo 16:30, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

That is fine.

No, Mortal Kombat Armageddon Krypt does NOT have such an information. Dmr2hn1 17:42 07.05.2007

Problems With Site edit

Neither one of you can be conisdered 100% correct. How does Shadaloo know that Noob Saibot doesn't have a real name? I am sure he does but no one knows it yet. And how does the other person know that his name could be Tsui Park? The problem with Wikipedia is that anyone can contribute any info they may know, and a lot of the times and possibly in this case, the information given is not 100% correct. I don't believe either one of you on this subject at all. There is a much better site to get info on MK characters. Thank You.

Ok. And as soon as you tell us what that site is, I'll be sure to go there. And I never said he did not have a real name. My statement is that his name has not yet been officially revealed in a game, and until it is, it is unknown. That's a fact. Shadaloo 06:51, 27 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Years edit

Why does it say that MK1 is set in 1991? The years the games come out aren't the years the games are based. That would mean that Deception is two years after Deadly Alliance. - The 4th Snake

Only the first game was set in the same time. The second game was almost immediately after that. Then some time later was the third series, blah, blah, blah... So, in other words, just because MK1 was set in 1991, it doesn't mean that all games were set in the years they were released. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 01:32, 21 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, MKD can be two years after the beginning of MKDA. At least, there is a palace constructed, a lot of warriors slain for their souls to be placed in the soldiers, etc. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dmr2hn1 (talkcontribs) 14:46, 7 May 2007 (UTC).Reply

Alignment edit

I'm curious, why does his bio state that he is evil, he's not, he's neutral. This is obvious because of the fact that he not only fought for evil men, he also betrayed them for his own benefit, that fits a description of a neutral personality in my opinion. If being a good guy brought Noob power, he'd be a good guy, cause that's what he does, he seeks power, and will do anything to get it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.115.11.147 (talkcontribs)

Ashrah's trading card says "...she must slay powerful evil such as Noob Saibot..." [1]. Also, the official MK:D website mentions that the Noob-Smoke team are evil [2]. A trading card wasn't made for Noob, but Smoke's card says that he is good [3]. So, you'd figure that one of them would have to be evil. RobWill80 01:11, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Also, Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition states quite clearly, specifically, and bluntly that his alignment evil. I can't directly link to it, but you can copy+paste this link for verification if you want to check: http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/mortal_kombat_tournament_edition_a.txt MarphyBlack 01:41, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I see where you guys are coming from, it's true, Noob Saibot is evil, but so is Scorpion, Scorpion was just in a position where siding with the good guys benefited more. They both have the same taint on their souls if I'm not mistaken. It's a sircumstancial thing really, his alignment is fine as it is now, but don't deny the possibility of him shifting alignment if Raiden or Lui Kang could offer him enough power that he could use to gain control of all of the realms.

He was neutral as Sub-Zero, he's evil know, although the text after the battle with Noob Saibot in Armageddon's konquest mode implies that he could possibly turn away from evil. BassxForte 01:38, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

Please people, his name is "Noob" not "N00b", someone went through the entire friggen' article and changed all "noob"s to "n00b"s, i've changed most of them, his first name was meant to be "Boon" spelled backwords, the fact it is the same as internet term was coincidential, as I said i've changed most of the names back to the correct version, if any more are there plese change them for me. With the installment of the newest game coming out next year, the official MK website mk5.org had posted a link to the official Mortal Kombat (2011) game page which is updated every now and then with sneak peeks of the game by developers. On November 11th, 2010 a new video was posted on the official MK webpage of the two Sub-Zero's and their backstory. Within this video and in the description their real names are finally revealed. The elder Sub-Zero is Bi-Han, and the younger Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang. I have updated both pages with this same information. He is not Sub-Zero edit

Let's not forget that the Sub-Zero in all MK games besides MK1 and Mythologies is Noob's younger brother, also note that the extra Sub-Zero in MKT and UMK3 is non-canon. BassxForte 22:09, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

In the official Prima Games Guide it states that the ninja Sub-Zero in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is in fact Noob Saibot. He is there to act as a non cannon storyline charcter. If you think about it rationally it makes sense that they could be there at the same time. Johnny Cage's body returned from the dead due to the merger blocking his way into the afterlife. Cage died as a human with his human sould still attached to his body, so he came back as one entity. When the merger prevented this, it could be possible that it also reaniamated Sub-Zero's dead body which would allow him to compete against Noob in the third game. But the ninja Sub-Zero in the third game is in fact Noob Saibot. Below is the actual quote from Prima's Mortal Kombat Armageddon guide off of page 93. "The original Sub-Zero is back, but his motives for being in Ultimate MK3 are unknown. Classic Sub-Zero is a hidden character; thus his place in this game is not related to the story. In reality, Classic Sub-Zero is Noob Saibot." --Charles-Joseph 03:12, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

As mentioned a ways up, what's important is the real-world perspective, not the in-universe one. The article should be titled Sub-Zero, as that's the most well-recognized name, and discuss how successive revisions to the MK story changed his back story. Remove some Sub-Zero information edit

Some of the Sub-Zero info should be removed. Once it's established that Noob is the former Sub-Zero, that should be enough. No need to have Sub-Zero's move list in another character's page. Sub-Zero has his own page, this one should focus on Noob Saibot. 66.167.147.212 09:35, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

About the first movie edit

Also MK the movie is based sorly on MK2's bios on what happened in the first tournament. This then is in-game bios, from the in-game bios it's accurate which doesn't say too much. Also the three earth worriors are sure to live, so them as there is no other real outworld worriers, they must become outworlders a bit by being under Tsung's command, it's earth vs outworld even in the fake second tournament. Also Scorpion is killed off first before sub is also anyways. Actually MK1 is in reallity 70-90% correct to bios of 1+2. Even though this is for older sub noob i'll post it else where the accuracies in the movie.

Here are the accuracies

-Kang wins -All 3 survive -All the bios (in game basics) -Katana’s bio shows no time where it happens or who she talks, also it look to already happened (looks past tense), also not an actual kombatant in the movie, seems more she requested (she fights no one else), also this does not mean she starts the whole rebelian and actual aiding of many warriors like in MK2 which would safely follow in the true second film(meaning if where not MK:An) -There is enough gore, violence for the bios (in MK2 done accurate there would be more then this) -More then the seven on roster of MK1 -The new Raiden as earth protector would make sure he couldn’t interfere (On MK2 it’s not to do with the elder’s official dual so it could be urged even by them to help in that fake tournament to stop Kahn)

The small differences or add ons (no true inaccuracies in story from the in game bios) -None of the areas when fighting -Changes to the spear to add to scorpion, also by opening it’s mouth could grab without killing like game -Some of MK2's looks are intertwined with MK1's (ex: Tsung’s youth plus long hair)

Some inaccuracies -Kano as if never fights, was captured and never made to lure Sonya, comes thinking Tsung’s palace was made of gold -Sonya never fights him and kills him in 3 off a roof (not to say it’s undoable again as is different) and also fights to protect unit’s freedom, in the movie she is later though but to fight Tsung, this is Tsung’s plan to ensure the last victory, to fight a weaker opponent -Reptile which could been fixed by merely adding his gowns in the building, Liu grabs him and flings him into the building he keeps his suite at and bust’s out of the rubble as Reptile (as a bodyguard he would listen to Tsung’s commands also, his watching over her is little) -Scorpion kills Sub-zero, though it looks like before and outside of tournament by sounds (follows Sub-zero to tournament and assassinates him)

Combining, though I said there aren’t any it’s they don’t look similar enough to be MK2 -Sonya tied, this isn’t like MK2 where she is tied to look while earth warriors die, she is merely tied from escaping, the whole Tsung plot is based on the fact on MK1 she was captured first, also she may be recaptured again by the squads led by Baraka and would then be as if never came back from the tournament from Jax’s eyes -The MK2 area, that symbol can be used as a design and the actual sky palace in outworld could make an appearance, other areas later use it

Final review Kang: 100% accurate (good) Cage: 100% accurate (good) Sonya: 65% accurate (the changes leave no feeling as the movie version is not too radically different) Scorpion: 60% (deadliest of enemies is all that’s needed, they at least added a new reason, also if he doesn’t kill Sub-Zero it does not conclude the movie versions are not supreme enemies) Sub-zero 80% accurate (it should been as was, scorpion would actually hold a title as good guy in the tournament in terms of earth and sub-zero outworld as in story, earth vs outworld is the setup) Raiden: 100% accurate (remember he was not earth protector as well in the MK1 game, added on MK2, as with Kahn due to arrangements they both cannot interfere or go into each other’s realms, though Raiden can on MK2 due to it being a fake tournament not to do with the elder’s intentions) Kano 65% accurate (if where 100% might not have fought at all as unlike Sonya no mention of him fighting is present, also like Sonya it’s little different as is waiting to get paid a lot of money for the luring, so it is similar)

So basically see it from MK2's eyes as MK2 revised the strory from being a simple SF tournament. Also by looking at it Sub-zero would been the only outworlder by the cast of 1, and yes it is outworld vs earth.

Also Paul DID NOT MAKE the movie as he only directed it, a director is not a maker of the film, only writter, the true maker. A director has only one more thing to do then the Producer with script. This is to insure it's brought to film as best as possible. The credits show a lie on all movies, we'll blaim or praise a director for many things in the film, but the writter makes it all, the director only makes little inserts like a contest winner to add something to a film, but mostly he chooses the cam angles/other and oversee's how well it's acted.

I said the last because many un-eduacated people still beleive the director does much anything to film or that this truely is a Paul Anderson film, only thing that's correct about A "director's" film is that he baught the script. He never wrote or "made" this and never realy made that bad of films till he started to make films for real. W.S. in his new credits also warn of "Wrote. Script." This is not Anderson's film it IS Ed's mostly. On that I don't like there new desision to make a new film now as this ones good as well as accruate, also they are merely going to make some visual changes or they might even be as stupid as Doom and skipp all but 3 and change it up even more. This new dicision is mostly probly made out of that Anderson is it's maker. But this movie is fair enough. even all the humor is based off the small humor in MK1+2, not like on the other's like Double Dragon were the production it self is a joke because the changes.

Basically it's in the comic world close to Sin City and alittle bit BatMan in the 80's (on a note both have small inaccuracies but BM:B has many more with only Joker fixed, and in the 80's movie this was only changed to add to him being the main villin in BatMan anyways). It's NOT going anywhere in the direction as MK:A (movie) with skipping MK2's fake tournament and being only 20-30% accurate and bloodless and PowerRanger esque. MK1 is only bloodless because the certain people have to live and die, next if MK2 was made accuratly thered be based of bios and stories more blood(also MK blood is unrealistic as it sprays out from cloths, explosions means many more bones then needed and a black guy will turn white(Jax exploding), this stays more to actual amount of blood for that fight).

BTW one thing, if anyone read the manuals as I have but lost it tell me if it's in there that scorpion killed him in the booklet, if not it's was added later anyways, if is it's only one of the small changes not too big enough.BobtheVila —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 13:28, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

non-existent dialogue edit

I have never heard Saibot say "you will die mortal," and I lost to him a fail deal. Also, it claims that Shao Khan will say "Its official; you suck." But thats not heard either, instead using the phrase "You Suck" without any other words. Can anyone confirm that the lines stated in the article are actually what was said? The phrase is akward and wouldve created a very long death scene, as well as completely negating any of the character's personality. "its official" seems massively out of place, and i cant recall him ever using that half of the line. 74.128.56.194 (talk) 19:39, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
