Propose to merge Nitrosyl and Nitroso edit

Suggestions? Comments? Objections? These articles describe what appear to be the same thing, but maybe I am missing something.

Here's the Gold Book definition: http://goldbook.iupac.org/N04169.html
I don't mind whether we merge the articles or not. If merging means that the content improves in quality, then great!

  • yep clearly identical topics: go ahead V8rik 21:05, 24 March 2007 (UTC) On the other hand one is inorg and the other org, so lets keep them separate. V8rik 16:39, 29 June 2007Reply

I merged both articles and explained the org/inorg specificity Corpet (talk) 10:20, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nitrosation vs. nitrosylation figures edit

n-phenylnitrosoamine ought to be changed into N-phenylnitrosamine. A capital N is used to indicate that the phenyl group bind to a nitrogen atom. Possibly the N should be numbered to indicate which nitrogen atom but this is probably superfluous since the phenyl cannot be substituted on the other nitrogen at least not without changing the molecule from a nirosamine into something else. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.227.15.253 (talk) 09:55, 5 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
