Major Edit Soon edit

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I'm working on a major expansion. It should be up within the next few hours. Until it's up, I'd greatly appreciate if people could not edit the page. Since I'm writing it in word, I won't be able to see your new additions as I go. Again, this should only be a few hours, and as soon as it's posted feel free to edit away! Okay, it's rewritten. Being bold with my edits is greatly encouraged, and I don't mind at all if you change it bunches. I just did my best and tried to work more sources in. I think there are some issues with consistancy of naming/capitalization of school report card, and my image work is pretty shoddy, so keep an eye out for those in particular. This is tremendous work, thank you. --ChrisRuvolo (t)

Did You Know edit

It was suggested in the afd that we try putting the article up for WP:DYK. The hook I proposed is ". . . that the 1989 New Jersey School Report Card was the first report to make statistics such as standardized test scores, student-teacher ratio, and cost of public schools available to all taxpayers?" but I'm not sure if it's the best option. I thought about doing administrators in 1988 refusing to release test scores to the state (a fact that I thought was more interesting) but since the Education Week article is behind the pay screen I figured we should probably go with one from the NYTimes instead. Any one got any interesting ideas or suggestions? Vickser (talk) 07:58, 12 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
