Geographic categories edit

I moved the geographic categories from the genus page here to the species redirect at Neogaya simplex. The guidance at Wikipedia:WikiProject Plants/World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions#Using the categorization hierarchy indicates that when the genus is not endemic, even when monotypic as here, then the species is categorized, but not the genus. This was recently discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Plants/Archive75#Distribution categorization of monotypic genera and species redirects, where the Pentaglottis example is similar to Neogaya. Hi Declangi,

Can I say I oppose the removal of categories on the genus because UNLESS there is an actual species page showing where the Distribution is, you get what happened on the Talk page of Pentaglottis - where Wikipedia readers don't know where the plant genus is endemic, native or what !! Especially if there is redirect to the genus page. The actual discussion seemed to be about what is needed to be instructed on the WikiProject Plants template.
