This should be a redirect

edit

@Shhhnotsoloud, in your edit summary reverting my edit, you said "Abbreviations rarely have a primary topic, especially if the abbreviation isn't actually mentioned in the article". I feel like this is one of those rare cases. A Google search for "NYY" turns up at least 10 pages of the New York Yankees and New York Yankees-related results. Also, the other two pages' pageviews are dwarfed by the Yankees, by a factor of at most 500:1. In fact, I think the other two articles mentioned are so obscure that a disambiguation page isn't necessary, and a hatnote would suffice. Taking a look at the WikiNav statistics, Every single viewer (unless i'm reading the charts wrong) is looking for the New York Yankees. As such, I think this page should redirect to the New York Yankees. mwwv converseedits 15:50, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks @Mwwv: You should request a page move of NYY to NYY (disambiguation), with NYY then redirecting to New York Yankees (see WP:RM). In my opinion the case will not be strong if "NYY" isn't mentioned at New York Yankees but a requested move would ascertain consensus. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:28, 3 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

NYYNYY (disambiguation) – Per my thoughts that NYY should be a redirect above. mwwv converseedits 13:14, 3 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
