Could this page be renamed "Mongolian steppes"? I thought that was the more common name. If not, though, nevermind. Esroh 18:05, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I just Googled a bit, and "Mongolian steppe" is by far the most common. Esroh 18:07, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

It may be more common, but are you certain that "Mongolian Steppe" means exactly the same thing? The WWF/National Geographic has rather precise boundaries for these ecoregions [1]. The Mongolian-Manchurian grassland does not include all of the steppes in Mongolia -- the WWF also identifies the Eastern Gobi desert steppe, Selenge-Orkhon forest steppe, Daurian forest steppe, Gobi lakes Valley desert steppe, Great Lakes Basin desert steppe, and so on. "Mongolian steppe" may refer to any or all of these ecoregions. If you are not certain, it should be moved back. Tom Radulovich 23:12, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
