Update?

edit

Okay, momocon 2006 was recently held, so someone needs to edit this article. I can't do it because I don't have enough information... I didn't spend very much time there. --Ringwraith10 14:48, 20 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Updated 8/1/06, I'll try to get more info up, but I'm not very good with these things. Jesspanda (talk contribs)

This article would look a lot better if someone put the momocon logo on it, to the top-right. :) —Disavian (talk/contribs) 02:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Added image. Someone can change the positioning if they want, I'm not too familiar with this wiki stuff. --Jesspanda 20:11, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Jess! —Disavian (talk/contribs) 20:38, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Move?

edit

Is the name MomoCon or Momocon? If it's the former, I'll move the page to the correct location. I'd just like some consensus before I do so. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 17:51, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Either one is correct in my eyes, so long as the word isn't separated (i.e. Momo Con). I usually write MomoCon in all official correspondance. What do I need to clarify in the section about '06 guests? I have a full list, but it's ridiculously long (we had somewhere like 35 guests), so I wanted to truncate it. --Jesspanda 20:44, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
"Various other guests" doesn't sound quite right to me... perhaps "33 other guests" would sound better. Also, what were these "professionaly made commericals" that were shown across campus? Are we talking about something that was nailed to a tree, or something that was on GTCN? —Disavian (talk/contribs) 21:48, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh, the commericals were before movies shown as part of the convention. Duh. Not sure how to word that to clarify it... —Disavian (talk/contribs) 21:52, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Also, while I'm thinking about, it, could you have a look at the events list in the new infobox on the top-right? I copied it from another article, and you might want to edit it to reflect the events MomoCon is most known for, in your eyes. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 21:50, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'll work on it, but there are a LOT of events! --Jesspanda 19:29, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think this article looks pretty good now :) —Disavian (talk/contribs) 20:58, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

GIS for "momocon site:niquenet" yields a few 'Nique that could be cited, especially this one and this one. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 00:48, 2 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

=P They put the wrong name in the year 2 article... mrrr bitter! ~Jess~
ROFL! I just re-read the articles from years 1-3 and I sound like such an idiot in year 1!

MomoCon 2008

edit

I tried to edit it myself, but I got some weird errors, so could someone else please post this 2008 information? Thanks!--216.46.98.249 18:11, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Upcoming convention MomoCon 2008 Date: March 15-16, 2008 Theme: Because the number 4 is considered unlucky in Japanese culture, MomoCon 2008 (the 4th event) will feature a gothic horror-style theme. Events:

    • In addition to several events from past MomoCons, 2008's event will include a Twilight Tea event, at the end of the day on Sunday, in lieu of a closing ceremony. Con-goers are asked to stop by for some fresh-brewed tea under the light of red paper lanterns at dusk and let the staff know what they would like to see at the event in the future.
    • Due to some past occurrences, future MomoCon events (starting with 2008) will require registration to enter. Attendees will be required to present a valid photo ID to enter, and children under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult (the ID of the guardian will be required to be presented). Badges will be provided. There will continue to be no charge for the event.
    • Several arcade cabinets will be available to play in an off-shoot room of Retro Gaming."
Added that for you. :) —Disavian (talk/contribs) 18:23, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Added the links for the official MySpace and Livejournal MomoCon pages. Just recently saw that some unofficials had started making MySpace pages for us, so I wanted to have these linked as "Official". Dig it. ~Jess~--216.46.98.249 14:42, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also added some peripheral events. Can't believe I forgot to mention Riki-Oh Night! ~Jess~--216.46.98.249 15:05, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Need to add a citation from animecons.com about the attendance, link is (http://www.animecons.com/events/info.shtml/1433), I'm really bad at citations, apparently... ~Jess~ --216.46.98.249 (talk) 14:20, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
