- Not only that, it hugely stunts the flow of the article. I have reviewed this article several times and I haven't even taken the effort to read the part through the first few lines. I'd say... remove? -- Bakabaka 14:29, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- I removed the story section as it was obviously lifted straight from the manual. I suspect the character classes section is also from the manual but I'm not 100% sure. --Mika1h 16:31, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have compared the old Character Class section with the manual. Parts of it are copied verbatim, others are slightly reworded, and others are new. Honestly I never liked that section, copyright issues aside, because I thought it went into far too much detail and made for very boring reading. Since 66.83.20.147's earlier edit to this article was deemed rather unreliable, I am confident that this addition is less-than-desired as well. Discussion welcome.

MM2 SNES Port edit
- I'm pretty sure MM2 was released for the SNES in Europe(and Japan if I'm not mistaken) as "Might and Magic," and I've never come across a version of MM1 for SNES, as is indicated on the MM1 page.
You're almost right, on the Megadrive/Genesis it was labeled as "Might & Magic - Gates To Another World" without numbering, however on the SNES version (at least the European PAL version) It was labeled as Might & Magic II. Image:Cron.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Too much un-encyclopedic content edit
Almost every paragraph in the gameplay section has wording you wouldn't consider encyclopedic.
- (the lack of this in the original could be rather frustrating).-- even if it's true, way too POV
- (out of, say, twenty possibilities)-- "out of, say" is way too informal
- quite impressive for the time-- "quite impressive" implies POV (what's impressive to you might not be impressive to the next guy) and can be worded better.
- which at some times was no big thing-- "no big thing" (!?)
Also, all of my characters have 99xxx hit points. If I train futher, my hit points start over from roughly what they were at level 1. I don't remember if the original (dual 5 1/4 inch floppy) version limited it. I still can't even hit the Mega Dragon though (the main reason why I saved and saved to get so many hit points). And he kills my whole party in a few rounds...
Later in the game it became necessary to have items such as the Flaming Sword +57 or the Gold Plate Armor +63. This isn't necessarily true. They're nice to have, but you don't NEED any + items at all (some creatures along the way can only be hit by + items, sure). Certainly not of the + factor as high as 57 or 63.
There's other stuff here and there I'd tweak too. I guess I'm in no hurry to tackle an article devoted to a 20 year old game. I do consider it one of my favorite games of all time and still play it often though. Zerotta (talk) 15:23, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
