Article name

Just wondering if we should maybe consider renaming the article to the French name, as it is in fact produced and recorded in French, and dubbed/subtitled for German audiences. Elostirion (talk) 21:22, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

German translation

Actually "Mit offenen Karten" is a wordplay using two different meanings of Karten: maps or (playing) cards. In German "mit offenen Karten spielen" (to play with open cards) is a figure for "no hidden intention" or "not hiding anything". Combined with maps it shows the intention of the broadcast: to give an universal view of the subject. I'm not familiar with the meaning of the french name, but its looks like a similar allusion. (Le Dessous Des Cartes literally means "the underside of cards/maps" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.225.20.126 (talk) 14:35, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the connotation seems to be similar. The French name implies that the "hidden" side of the maps is revealed. Elostirion (talk) 19:13, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Couldn't we also get the names of the guys dubbing it into German onto the side? One of them seems to have been around for ages. Maybe from the beginning? Mulder1982 (talk) 00:02, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
