Cleanup and expansion edit

I have done some cleanup on the first two sections. More cleanup is needed; the article appears to have been written by someone with a poor grasp of grammar.

This article can also do with some expansion material. A history of the Serenade will be good for a start. For instance: for what was the music originally composed? Who commissioned the composer to write it? When, where and by whom was Manhattan Serenade premiered? Etc., etc. A brief listing of some of the more major radio shows, in both the US and Canada, might be a good idea. A bulleted list would probably be better for this history than a mere paragraph.

I'm sure other editors will be able to suggest additional ideas or edits as the project moves along.
