I propose to bring back Acquisitions and investments like in this version.

Acquisitions and investments edit 

Lottoland took over the German lottery portal Lottohelden at the end of 2015.[5] The company also has shares in LottoGopher, a provider of lottery tickets from Los Angeles listed on the Canadian Stock Exchange.[6]

Why this? Because Lottoland has worldwide investments to broaden its business model. Their investments were topics of media coverage. (Note on Jumbo Interactive: shares have been sold meanwhile.)

This section should also mention:

The name of founder is a new information, reference for this is new and given here at talk page (Wirtschaftswoche & Handelsblatt). Reference for the Italian acquisition & Italian licence (both new) is given with igamingbusiness.com. But bundling citations is not the correct way to format text. The correct way of displaying them would be like this:

  1. The Ashelm reference for the license in the UK does not explicitly state that the license has been obtained, rather, it notes generally that one may operate in Germany on the basis of a license from Great Britain. ("... der in Deutschland auf Basis einer Lizenz aus Großbritannien tätig werden darf.") This is not the same as saying that a license has been granted. Please provide a reference which states this definitively.
  2. The BorderLand24 reference appears to be a press release, but it is not indicated where this press release originated from. Information about Giochi24 should originate from Giochi24, as that company is best positioned to have information on its majority holder. What is needed here is a reference from Giochi itself mentioning this information.
  3. It was the COI editor who placed the claim regarding lottery game payouts almost one year ago into the article, but information regarding specific lottery game payouts should not be included in the article, per WP:NOTGAMEHOST. Hi User:Spintendo, hi all. My answer is as follows:
1. The Frankfurter Allgemeine is one of the most respectable newspapers in Germany. The newspaper writes that Lottoland owns a British license. That is very clear. The information from Lottoland itself is also clear. The UK Gambling Commission is also unambiguously here. (This comission had to check whether the Lottoland had violated the UK license or not.)
2) BorderLand24's article is not a press release. It's a story of the paper itself. Above that, the CEO of Giochi24 said: "Paolo Di Feo, CEO di Giochi24 ha aggiunto: “Siamo molto contenti di aver stretto una partnership con Lottoland e delle opportunità che si apriranno a entrambe le aziende e ai giocatori italiani con i nostri due siti, Giochi24.it e Lottoland.it." Doubts that Lottoland has joined the Italian provider, are hardly possible in view of such statements, right?
3) Information about the total payout has nothing to do with Wikipedia:NOTGAMEHOST. The information characterizes the scale of the operational business. The payout of 90 million euros has been recognized in the press in Germany and abroad. Atomiccocktail (talk) 09:12, 15 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

  2. The statement about acquiring a major share has been implemented.
  3. The claim about lottery payouts is a request to host information here, on Wikipedia, about the results of a specific game. You're correct that posting this information here would characterize the scale of the operational business, a characterization which also affords the reader a possible likelihood of payments, results and outcomes they might reasonably expect to see in similar interactions with the company. It is not the purpose of the article to characterize the scale of an operational business, but rather, only to summarize it. Including the dollar amounts given to a single Berlin resident does nothing to summarize the article subject's activities.

I propose that section "Customers and turnover" will be added with the following information, after "It generated sales of over 300 million euros in 2016.[9][6][13][28][29]": 

The highest payout went to Berlin with 90 million euros in June 2018.[1][2][3] This led to an entry in the Guinness Book of Records on September 17, 2018.[4]

  • I don't believe that individual tales of winners appropriately summarizes the information in the article. These types of personalized narratives describing individual winners only serves to promote the use of this site, suggesting to readers that these types of winnings can "happen to you, too". Indeed, one of the references provided contains a link which states "90 Millionen Euro im Jackpot. Spielen Sie jetzt!" (90 Million Euros in the Jackpot. Play Now!![1]), suggesting that a 90 Million Euro payout is just one click away. The article for Caesars Entertainment, Inc., another gambling-type operation, does not provide individual details of its interactions with customers. A better example would be California Lotto which provides individualized, non-specific information about each of its top games, rather than details about one winner.

Hello everybody, I ask you to reset all these edits. “Wirtschaftswoche” says Rosen was the founder, not Birrell (Birrell is CEO). Moreover, it is nonsense to substantiate data for the year 2018 with newspaper sources from 2017.

Sorry. Sources are for example Lottoland sells stake in Jumbo Interactive (July 2017) or Lottoland sells Jumbo Interactive stake two months after purchase (July 2017)

Therefore it should be written in section “Acquisitions and investments”:

Lottoland recently got a Swedish license. For that reason, it should be stated in section “Licenses and legal background”: 

Lottoland currently has licenses from national supervisory bodies for lotteries[2] in Gibraltar, Italy,[4] the United Kingdom,[5] Ireland,[3] Sweden[1] and Australia, where it has a wagering license.[1]

In the article about Lottoland in the de.wikipedia.org. the photo has been removed today. The photo is from 2010. With very high probability the office did not exist at the time in the three wooden buildings directly in the harbor basin. These offices are on a second floor, which was apparently later built. That's why the photo should also get out of here. So that's understandable, what I mean: Here you can see the location of Lottoland. As to point a

In section 2 (Products), the first sentence should be added with a second one: 

Since 2019, the company also offers sports betting.[1]
As to point b

In section 3 (Licenses and legal background) the second paragraph should be updated by an addition: 

Lottoland then filed a complaint against the Australian Communications and Media Authority. The Supreme Court of New South Wales ruled in favour of the company.[2]
As to point c

In section 4.1 (Customers and turnover) one could update the number of customers: 

The company claims a customer base of 10 million people (as of September 2019).[3]
As to point d

I suggest another section, preferably a new section 5 after section 4.2 (Acquisitions and investments)

I did the first two. The Sydney Morning Herald is a good source in general, and while sbcnews isn't, I guess it is an expert on sports betting. I did not do point c, since biometricupdate.com is hardly a good source on the company's customer base.
