what happened to Yamanaka Inoichi?

did he get lost in the character shuffle? --Pentasyllabic 05:08, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

Tokubetsu specializations

I'd like to suggest adding another field for tokubetsu jounin, called "Specialization". This would make the meaning of 'tokubetsu' clearer, and eliminate the need to update the articles for the characters. If there are no qualms about this, I will begin updating them myself. --God 07:17, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Why does a big picture of kakashi with his face showing appear for?

That's not the real picture of what he looks like....

Whipped?

He is married to Nara Yoshino who, as his son says, has him whipped.
What does that refer to? Some sort of S&M thing? I would like some clairity here...The Gerg 02:38, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

It's a type of slang meaning she has him under her control. To put it simply, he'll do whatever she asks. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 22:01, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Under her control? What does that refer to? some sort of magic power thing? I would like some Clarity here... Rocks Lotus 06:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

In this context, it means that in the relationship, Yoshino is the dominant party. Her husband's behavior is determined by how to avoid her displeasure and he doesn't assert himself, accepting her demands. You can see how subservient he is in relation to her. --BrokenSphere 17:49, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Spoiler

Neji doesn't become Jonin until later in the series. Please add spoiler warning.

sakumo

do you have a picture of sakumo showing his face? if so please use it in his profile.--Madara 12:35, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

I have pictures but I don't like to mess with url editing. Anyway I'm posting because the translation being used on Sakumo's profile was proven to be a mistranslation. His reputation makes the Sannin look petty, not on a "equal level".

I can provide links to this if required, as the translators such as Raijin, Sho and Mizura from the other scanlation groups have provided that Inane's translation was indeed false.

Alphabetical order

Now that the names follow the western order, shouldn't they be re-arranged so that they are in alphabetical order by family name?

white chakra

do we have a pic of the White Light Chakra Sabre? --Kenshin -Himura 20:00, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Hayate Gekko's Jutsu

What is Hayate Gekko's Jutsu he used against Baki, I can't seem to remember it cleary and I can't find it (could you make a link to it too?). Sam ov the blue sand 03:51, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Lady Anko

i understand she had a small part in the series, but considering she has a somewhat "close" relationship to orochimaru, shouldn't she have a longer section...?

i'm saying this because i'm assuming she will show up around part 2 as some sort of pawn (or taking revenge) to orochimaru

-Not until we actually see her do something. What do we actually know about her other than she was Orochimaru's student, and has a cursed seal? She hasn't appeared in part 2 at all yet. I don't think she's even had a panel.212.100.250.225 22:50, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

ebisu

shouldnt he be considered a jonin now that he has a genin team?

That's possible, but until his profile is updated in the next databook or so, it's best to stay true to his previous profile unless the change is significantly obvious. Also, sign your post with four of ~'s. You Can't See Me! 06:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Proctors

I don't get it, someone put two profiles Anko Mitirashi and of Ibiki, it's confusing. Beanbeanbean

Combination Transmigration

Because List of Konoha Genin is fairly short and because a considerable percentage of the characters listed on List of Konoha Chunin are in actuality links to main articles, I was thinking that the three "List of Konoha ___nin"s could be merged together (it doesn't really matter what's merged into what). An idea of what it would look like can be seen here, minus the images. The end product isn't all that large, and it would make things somewhat easier. Thoughts? Also, should I be putting the {{mergeto}}/{{mergefrom}} tags somewhere? ~SnapperTo 08:14, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, add the tags. It's a good idea. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 08:00, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
That can work. It doesn't really increase the size of the present article that much in any case. Sephiroth BCR 22:44, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

A week seems long enough to wait for an opposition, so I guess I'll proceed with the mergings. What should the new article be called? "List of Konoha ninja" mayhaps? ~SnapperTo 22:54, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

That works fine. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 22:55, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't the Land of Fire characters be merged here also? Nemu 23:14, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

With the exception of the Hokages and ANBU members, none of those characters are given ranks. ~SnapperTo 23:41, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Then those should probably be merged here. The elders are all previous ninja, so a "Retired ninja" header could work. The rest could either be left there or just be placed under some sort of "other" header. It seems sort of weird to have them all over the place considering the title of this article. Nemu 23:54, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
I can't think of a tile that wouldn't call for some degree of migration from Land of Fire. Working "ranked" into the title would limit the scope at least. A see also section would probably be simpler, because Land of Fire isn't likely to be merged elsewhere any time soon. ~SnapperTo 00:15, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Maybe the scope of this could be changed to "List of Konoha residents" or something. It wouldn't increase this too much. The Land of Fire should be retooled to focus more on the country anyways. Nemu 00:24, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Adding everything in Land of Fire from Hokages downward moves this article into the "it may be appropriate to split" range, increasing the article by 26 kb. Granted, some of those characters could stand to see a rewrite/condensing, and lists are an exception to the size rule, but that still seem a sizable article for an ongoing series. I could go for a couple more opinions on the matter. ~SnapperTo 00:43, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Adding the Hokages seems to be sufficient. It emphasizes the rank-order already shown in the present article, and all other characters present in the Land of Fire article are minor enough that their use on pages will be slim to none. The only two sections that I would add beyond that are "Elders" and "Animals.", seeing as characters like Danzo might play a larger role, and Akamaru is a prominent figure. However, that brings up another point - can animals necessarily be considered "ninja" (not counting summons)? Sephiroth BCR 01:44, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
I went ahead and added the rest of the ranked ninja. It seems appropriate; the rest should be fine in the other article, I guess. Nemu 21:46, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Sai's Brother

ok i feel that sai's brother needs an articel, however i don't remeber it saying what ninja rank he was before his death, like was he AMBU like sai,or like a chunin or something. could someone help me out here Allen Walker 8:29, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

And what would it say? He was nice to Sai then died? That's not a lot of information to work with. ~SnapperTo 22:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Could I explain about Idate morino you know and maybe put a picture.

He is no longer a konoha ninja, so should not be on this page. However, he does appear on the minor allies page.Retlor 15:10, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Fourth Hokage

In Chapter 96 page 10 of the manga, you can clearly see the list of names of people who put their name down to summon the frogs. For those who understand Jap, the leftmost one is Uzumaki Naruto, and the 3rd from left is Jiraiya's. There's a name between those two, and I think it's the Fourth Hokage's, because on the next page, Gamabunta says that no one has ridden on him since the Fourth. More on http://www.absoluteanime.com/naruto/4th_hokage.htm —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 219.74.90.93 (talk) 08:32, 5 May 2007 (UTC).

Something I need verified: The article currently claims that he is the Akatsuki leader. Where was that revealed? --Imaginationac (Talk | Edits | Email) 00:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

It's never revealed. All of it is fan-based speculation on the matter. No concrete evidence has been given concerning the subject in the entire series. Hence the massive amount of reverted edits relating to this. Sephiroth BCR 01:04, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

You can see clearly three names in the summoning scroll. Jiraiya is the first name seen and Naruto the last one and in between there is written Kaseiyo. Naruto and Jiraiya signed using their first name so Yondaime's name is Kaseiyo. It is sure that Jiraiya signed the scroll before Yondaime, so that's the name.

Black Dollar 7 May

Whoever told you that is having a laugh. No coherent name appears within the squiggles on that scroll, other than those of Naruto and Jiraiya. If the fourth's name had been revealed, we would know it.Retlor 15:08, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

The Fourth's name is Arashi. Kishimoto tried to trick you by writing in near illegible handwriting, but I could make out the characters.JakeTheImpaler 19:36, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

The Fourth's name will be revealed in chapter 367, along with the name of Naruto's mother. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.38.4.80 (talk) 17:05, August 24, 2007 (UTC)

Ehem. In chapter 367, his name is listed as "Namikaze Minato" on page 10 of that chapter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.189.105.194 (talk) 22:33, August 24, 2007 (UTC)

The 4th Hokage should get a main page. He is finally revealed as Naruto's father, and his name is "Namikaze Minato." Sure more of his past should be revealed, but he's done enough for a mian article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jijjin (talkcontribs) 06:51, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

the manga does not say anything that clearly points out the 4th as naruto's father. it only gives the name of his mother, and that jiraya feels that there is a resemblance between naruto and minato.

I have to check, but i dont believe it was minato namikaze who created the rasengan, It was probably jiraya himself. if you read chapter 367 tsunade says "you even taught him the rasengan" to jiraya. and jiraya answers the following "Yeah, and maybe i shouln't have. It just felt as i where teaching minato again"

Tsunade was referring to Naruto. Jiraiya's reply was stating that teaching Minato was just like teaching Naruto. He wasn't referring to Rasengan.Jink

Someone should check this out

The Fourth ain't done crap with his own Article. All he did was seal up a demon and die. --TheUltimate3 11:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Please leave the translation of the Fourth's given name 'Minato' intact. The translation comes directly from the Japanese-English English-Japanese dictionary produced by Random House. Furthermore, do not remove the information regarding the fact that there was fan speculation of the relationship between Naruto and Minato, as it is plainly locatable in most fan websites, fanfiction, and even a book published by an unofficial source (though they did not outright claim Naruto and Minato were related, they simply commented on the rumored possibility at the time.)

Shizune mainpage

Shouldnt shizune get her own mainpage? i mean she is closely tied to one of the major characters and makes many apperances in the series, after all.24.185.163.37 19:44, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

She doesn't really do anything significant other than her time during the Search for Tsunade arc. Aside from that, she acts as Tsunade's helper of sorts, and that can be summed up in a single sentence. What currently is present is fine and concise. There's no need to try to drag out an article for her. Sephiroth BCR 01:38, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

alphabetize by surname

shouldn't the characters be alphabetized by their surname rather than given name? --Pentasyllabic 01:11, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Looking at the page, it seems to me that they are.Retlor 06:04, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Uchiha Police Members

Shouldn't we list the Uchiha Clan members that were part of the Police Force?

List of all Ninja

Rather than just put only Konoha Ninja here, why don't we put all of them here? We have a large amount of ninja in the series not from Konoha (the Rain Ninja, Baki and the Sand Siblings, Sound Ninja) and would increase the size of the article alot.

Because the article would be far too large and there's no justification for it whatsoever. It would become tiresome to find anything and the page would have little to no cohesion. Hence the separate pages. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 23:08, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
If any of you noticed how it suddenly had non-Konoha ninja on the page, I was going to see how long it was by previewing it, but I pressed the wrong thing. I have removed what I put. Artist Formerly Known As Whocares 19:39 (Eastern Standard Time), 18 May, 2007.

Shikaku in Shogi

Did Shikaku actually win the game? The bubbles didn't seem to have anything making them different from the other's. It said something like "I win." "What?" Couldn't Shikamaru have easily said that?

He could have, though what is said in the attached bubbles really only make sense if Shikaku is the one saying them. ~SnapperTo 03:04, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Mizuki Team

If Mizuki was Orochimaru's student, does that mean he was teammates with Anko Mitarashi as well?24.185.163.37 17:59, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Highly likely, but there is the slightest chance it isn't true. Eventually, Ninja teams will separate due to age and rank, and new teams will be formed. An example is when a ninja joins the ANBU Black Ops, they will need to leave their old teacher and team, if they hadn't already, and join up with an ANBU squad. The newly free Jonin will take on a new batch of Genin if they are assigned that task. In the case of Orochimaru, we are unsure at what time he began teaching Anko or Mizuki. Though their ages are two years off, so they may have been in the same batch. Also, whoever the first student was would not have had enough time to grow strong enough to be independent of their teacher without significant time passing. So they probably weren't in different Genin batches unless one flunked the Academy exam a great many times, or somehow the first student and the rest of their cell was broken up or transferred away from Orochimaru, leaving him to start a new Genin cell.

yondaime should have his own page

we have enough information to create a page for the fourth hokagfe not to maention he has been in the background of the story so much that he is such a critical character that he should get his own page and it should be a main articleEvxyza92 02:58, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I disagree. We don't know very much about him in actuality, besides his past and abilities. His personaltiy is a complete mystery, and unless someone actually takes the time to make a very good article about him, then it won't work. This is also why the Nine-Tailed Fox and Chiyo don't have articles, because of the lack of information for them. And because no one will even try to make articles about them.

If you tell me how to add pics then i would do an artical about him, he is a big chacrter but he is kinda in the shadows.Ultimaterasengan 01:31, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Ino and TenTen merged???

This was discussed? Don't remember that o_O - 201.79.207.143 15:09, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

I don't know. Shino was also "fired" from his article. Pity.
It seems to become regular custom to do bigger changes as fast as possible and without a big discussion to avoid problems with other users and their opinion... ~ Felcis 14:31, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
That is however both stupid and meaningless. I left Snapper2 (the one who deleted/merged the pages) a message. I hope we can have talks to get these pages re...made? ~ TheUltimate3 10:44 AM 24, June 2007

Kurenai was merged too. This makes absolutely no sense. There are many characters less important than, say Ino, in the series (Temari, Hidan, Kakuzu, Sasori) who have their own articles. Now, Hidan was there for only 30 chapters. And there are many characters in very obscure anime that have their own pages. If you insist on merging Ino, Tenten, Shino and Kurenai then also merge Chouji, Kiba, Temari, Kankuro, Shikamaru, Gaara, Hinata, Lee, Neji, Asuma, Gai, the dead Akatsuki members and a whole load of other characters.

Don´t get silly. I would want an own article for Ino and Shino, too, but they are nowhere as important as Shikamaru and Gaara or even as Temari, Hinata, Choji and Kiba. Especially Tenten and Kurenai are on a level with characters like Shizune or Iruka in terms of importance, or even below. ~ Felcis 19:13, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

I don't disagree with Ten Ten and, maybe, Kurenai. TT's article had almost nothing, so yeah.
But Ino played a big role on Sakura's story. She didn't had a "big fight", but this is something that doesn't count too much on an article (since you can sumarize it into 1 paragraph). She definetly had a bigger role on the story than Hinata. Even Shino had, maybe.
I mean. Hinata's article just seem to be big 'cause someone did an incredibly long part about her relationship with Naruto (all the paragraphs completely unnecessary)! And Kiba is more important than Shino why? Just because he fought against one from the Sound Five? If so, Shino fought against Kankuro. Two fights to each one and basicaly the same importance in "no fight" scenes.
If Ino and Shino don't deserve own articles, sry but Hinata and Kiba doesn't deserve as well (but I think all 4 of them should keep their articles).
Like someone said, all of them were mor important than Kakuzu and Hidan who just had the role of a "strong enemy" and nothing more (if they deserve their own articles, the Sound Five would deserve it too). - 201.79.178.156 17:58, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

If we're going to play the 'Only use Important Character Card', then we can't be bias with it. Outside of Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke, the only other original Konoha genin that should have a page is Shikamaru, Neji, and Rock Lee. Shikamaru especially since he had a characte driven arc, I'm fine with that. Ino's importance to the series was only her friendship to Sakura, Hinata's only really role was her crush on Naruto, Kiba, Choji, Shino, and especially Tenten lack any clear character developmen. SO Kiba, Hinata, and Choji should all be moved to this page also if we're going to do this. Lionheart08 20:26, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Naruto and the Fourth

Okay lets get this striaght! I have no idea if the fourth is related to Naruto but it seems very likly. Here are all my reasons...

  • Okay first in vol. 11 before Jiryia pushed Naruto off the cliff he said the following "forgive my me Yondaime Hokage." Why would he say that unless the fourth was related or loved naruto in some way?
  • 2nd lots of people say if he was related to Naruto why would he sacrifice his own brother and or son? The answer is within it's self. He sacrificed his child because he cared about the village and didn't want anyone elses child to be a vessil for the kuybi. i know that sounds stupid but you really have to think about it.
  • 3rd Jiriya also states that Naruto looks alot like the fourth, spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, they both know Summoning jutsu and Rasengan, and according to both Tsunade and Jiryaia Naruto is just as self-confendent and as stupid as the fourth was when he was younger.

there thoses are my reasons!Ultimaterasengan 01:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Still speculation and such speculation doesn´t belong in Wikipedia. ~ Felcis 01:46, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Naruto was taught the Rasengan and Summoning Jutsu. It doesn't matter if they both know it.

If he was the 4th son he would be treated very good--Mhart54com 15:00, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

yes, that is true, but itachi makes it pretty clear that naruto is the fourth's "legacy".

If he was the 4ths sone he would be treated like crap because of a rabied fox in his stomach.

First off: Jiraiya taught naruto the jutsus. Second: The 4th hokage loved all the children, and Naruto was picked because they need a newborn, if I remember correctly. Third: Resemblence is nothing. Don't make me start on how many people in naruto look alike. :|

First off: Yondaime is Naruto's father. Second: Yondaime's name is Minato Namikaze Third: Resemblence isn't nothing as they are related. If you for some reason don't believe me then read chapter 367 --Kaoskaix 00:52, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Someone should check this out

Semi-protection for this page

Would it be worth requesting semi-protection for this page due to the constant editing by IPs that the 4th Hokage is Naruto's father, what his real name is, changing the characters names to the unromanized versions, etc.? --BrokenSphere 16:12, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

That and all the Obito garbage. Please do so. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 19:01, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Special Spoiler(True or False) No Telling

I was on YouTube they have lots of stuff on the Akatsuki Leader. They say it's this guy named Arashi Uzumaki(Yondaime,The Fourth Hokage). And there's theory's about just half of the Jinchuuriki(Demon Fox)inside Naruto.

All fake. Sorry. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 04:37, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

There's a possibility. But there's sites out there showing issues or comic pics of this.

Again, all fake. Been over this a thousad times. The pics are doctored and the supposed names unreadable. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 04:49, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Aight. But,Just tell me who's,this Arashi Uzumaki?

No one. Just a made-up name. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 05:14, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

It's not made up. Look in the toad contract that Naruto signed and you'll see the fourth's name is arashiJakeTheImpaler 19:39, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

It's a squiggly line. You Can't See Me! 20:47, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
To add to that, it's a squiggly line that is different in the anime and the manga, and that is seen in two different variations in the anime. ~SnapperTo 21:00, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Confused

Why isn't Naruto under the Genin section and Hiashi Hyuga under the Jonin section? Omghgomg 04:45, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Because he failed the exam--Mhart54com 14:55, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

ok i gotta question.............the 2nd hokage was a water guy riiiiiiiiightttt then how can he hold the title of "hokage" fireshadow doesn't that clash with the mizukage what if the raikage was execllent with earth style jutsu wouldn't that mess with the tsuchikage what if the kazekage was a lighting guy wouldn't that mess up their respected rank? so how does the second hokage get away with it ??????????-FOZSTER

Hokage is just a title. You don't need to use fire jutsu to be hokage, it's a reference to the fact that Konoha is in the Land of Fire. As for Hiashi Hyuga, I'm guessing he got lost when the Hyuga clan article was ditched. He probably should be on here. 86.157.98.98 22:20, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
