Talk:List of gacha games

This list starts in 2012... edit

Why does the list start in 2012? Gachapons existed in video games for almost a decade before the oldest game in this list. Does maplestory not count as a notable gacha game? Maplestory's english release was in 2005 and it was wildly popular at the time. And of course, it had (and still has) gachapons — Preceding unsigned comment added by IPyronic (talkcontribs) 20:37, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Missing games edit

There are various notable games that seem to just be missing despite their massive popularity in recent years, such as Cookie Run. Wariobros194 (talk) 08:11, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced Metacritic edit

This article is not properly sourced. Metacritic scores should all be properly referenced, each and every single one them should have their own inline reference. Please note Wikipedia:Verifiability "All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists, and captions, must be verifiable. All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports[2] the material." This is me challenging that material for not having proper sources (in addition to the citation needed tags I previously added). All the Metacritic scores should be referenced or they should be removed.

Metacritic user scores should never have been included at all WP:UGC It was especially misleading to include user scores mixed in with the critic scores. (I am not volunteering to fix the problems in this article myself. I have tried to improve low quality articles before only to see them deleted anyway.) -- 109.78.203.13 (talk) 01:40, 7 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

It has been months and still no one had added any sources. I have removed the unsourced information. Please note WP:BURDEN "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material". If editors are wiling to provide proper references they can restore the information but it should not have been added without sources and it should not be restored without proper sources. -- 109.78.202.76 (talk) 00:59, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
The Metacritic scores are sourced to the Metacritic website, which is readily available. The source is there, it is just not expressed as a footnoote, nor does it need to be in such a case. Sandstein 07:17, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
That is not remotely how WP:BURDEN works "All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports[2] the contribution.[3]" Please read the documentation again. Do not restore the unsourced material. If you want to keep it you must make sure it is properly sourced. It can be harsh but it the same requirement for any article. -- 109.78.204.113 (talk) 12:33, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
