Superbowl XL edit

Someone put the victory by the Seattle. I changed it to pittsburgh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.229.160.121 (talk) 19:11, 30 April 2008 (UTC) Haha, thats funny. Well, the victory should actually go to the Referees & Jerome Bettis.Reply

Recent Figures edit

Obviously, this set of records does not take into account of past "streaks". For example, look at the 49ers -- 16 straight 10+ win seasons. KyuuA4 04:11, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand this part of the page. How is it possible that NE has 6 seasons with 8+ wins then it says 7 seasons with 9+ wins. And the colts 5 consecutive 8+ seasons, 6 consecutive 9+ wins. It doesn't make sense.64.203.19.96 (talk) 12:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok the figures section should be completely re-written/updated when the season is over. The problem was people were only updating parts of the Recent figures. If someone updates the 9+ wins they should also update the 8+ wins.64.203.19.96 (talk) 12:26, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I noticed the Steelers streaks were not even close to reality, and not just because it wasn't updated at the completion of a recent season. I changed the streaks for the Steelers, but I suspect that other teams may also be off and that this page needs a drastic overhaul. Mickeyg13 (talk) 07:21, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

It also seems that the Seahawks streak of playoff appearances from 2003-2007 as 5 seasons was omitted. Also, they had two runs of 2 seasons '83-'84 and '87-'88. Even though they aren't headline teams these were great accomplishments. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.18.98.38 (talk) 05:40, 27 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have updated the list to include the run Oakland/Los Angeles had between 1965 and 1986. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Illinoisct (talkcontribs) 04:22, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Consecutive Wins section should only contain the longest such streak for any given team for each win total. Teams like the Bears list every two year streak when longer streaks are also listed for the Bears in the same win section. The Bills reflect the approach I recommend, someone needs to cull the others.

I've fixed the Redskins per the last comment. Also, one season is not a "streak." HappyJake (talk) 11:18, 24 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Overhaul edit

It looks like this article is documenting all winning season streaks in the second half. I thought this was a page for current streaks? If that is the case, the information about past streaks is irrelevant; shouldn't it be removed? Simplebutpowerful 15:14, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I added the longest wins+ streaks for each team subject to the categories and season streak that already existed and removed any duplicates from each section. I also added a section for current wins+ streaks to track and add to the longest streaks when appropriate. I also added the references for each team listed (Lions, Bengals, Texans did not have any streaks listed) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.163.24.33 (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Nice. Yes, that's just what I was picturing. Much more organized! Simplebutpowerful 22:08, 26 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Article name? edit

The content of the article does not exactly hold true to the article's title about playoff appearances, for it dives into statistics such as regular-season streaks of accomplishment. Nor does the article even hold true to current info, for it contains much about past streaks. I like the content that is there; I don't think any of it needs removing, I just think it needs to go under a better heading. What if we rename the article to something like, "List of National Football League streaks of accomplishment"? Simplebutpowerful 02:19, 3 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Tables edit

I like the new tables! One suggestion, though - instead of the full names of teams in the tables, to save space, how about we put a standardized two- or three-letter abbreviation? That would help with teams such as "New England Patriots", which have a lot of those short, high-win streaks. Simplebutpowerful 07:33, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Packers edit

Can someone add the Packers to the 12+ win season list. They went 12 and 4, first season. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.15.25.104 (talk) 19:15, 19 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Current consecutive playoff appearances table? edit

How about we set up a table for the current consecutive playoff appearances? Every other list in the article, current and all-time, is in table form. It'll also help clarify which streaks are ending, starting, continuing, etc. Simplebutpowerful 01:44, 22 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
