names

edit

Can anyone supply the kanji names for all the Japanese characters? 2.25.120.202 (talk) 22:20, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I added two useful external links: the official site and Vocaloid Wiki of Wikia. --Shinkansen Fan (talk) 11:46, 22 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removing rumored "TBA" products

edit

There were a number of products (i.e. Vocaloid 3 and English versions of all Crypton products, new VY products from Bplats, etc.) that were put in the Vocaloid 3 table.

While of course, we can probably assume that Crypton and Bplats and other companies will be working on new Vocaloids and updating their existing products, I think the table is unnecessary cluttered with these entries, as they've not been officially confirmed by these companies, and we don't know what plans they will have for these products.

I suggest that we remove such entries about TBA products that have not been confirmed by the companies that make them. JaykeBird (talk) 01:41, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I implemented this change today. If anyone disagrees with my change, please talk about it with me here. :)
I kept Meiko V3 because some information (including a demo) has been released already, and I also kept Hatsune Miku V3 Japanese, because it's possible some information about that has been released, but I may come back later and remove it if that's not the case.
I don't want the table to be cluttered with such things, and honestly, how hard is it to add it back in when such information does come? JaykeBird (talk) 12:18, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Macne Nana confirmation

edit

As listed on her website, she does Japanese and English and will be released for Pc and Mac. Just adding in case there is a issue. 31.51.116.19 (talk) 12:07, 25 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Macne Nana & Apple

edit

The table says GarageBand is one of Macne Nana's developers. GarageBand actually is software created by Apple. Apple is in no way affiliated with Macne Nana. Benimation (talk) 23:43, 7 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gacha-poid V3

edit

The official Vocaloid Facebook announced on September 10th, 2014 that on September 17th, 2014, Gachapoid V3 (Now Gacha-poid V3) will debut. They already have his new website up and offer a discount for those who have his Vocaloid 2 release. AnimasaIsLove (talk) 03:03, 12 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cancellation Citation

edit

With the announcement that Gacha-poid V3 is going to come out September 17th, I couldn't help but note he used to be on the "cancelled" list. The list of cancelled or status unknown Vocaloids has a grim name among the fanbase now, as fans are calling these voicebanks "dead". Does anybody know how we can verify if a project is really "dead" or "alive"? Again, Gacha-poid V3 is proof positive that we need real references and information provided by Yamaha, Crypton, AH Software, ect. AnimasaIsLove (talk) 03:11, 12 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hmm... I think that's kind of hard to say... We could just only consider a project/voicebank cancelled whenever a company more or less states/announces that it cancelled a project (or otherwise is not working on it). Another option is if there's simply no update on a project in, say, 6 months or a year, we could consider it cancelled.
I think a criterion for a project to be put on the cancelled list here should be that the project was originally in the planning or development stage, and then afterwards work on it must have stopped. My biggest worry is people putting in Vocaloid projects that never had started to begin with.
My history with it could be mistaken, but I think AH Software originally stated they had no plans for a Gachapoid V3, didn't they? If so, no work was done on it, and it shouldn't have been on the cancelled list. Something like CV-4Cβ, though, we've seen it demonstrated and, thus, must have been worked on, but now, as far as I know, no one's heard news about it in quite a while. I think that would deserve to be on such a list. JaykeBird (talk) 07:08, 12 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Originally they were not going to update him. They then changed their mind. Its as simple as that and was only to do with the anniversary of the (4oth I think) Gachapin character he received a V3 at all. 109.146.172.97 (talk) 11:39, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

New approach

edit

Since there have been complaints towards this list from the greater wikia community and attempts to delete this page, I might have a solution to the problem. I'll try and updat this at the weekend. This will hopefully resolve the issues related to this.

I just hope wikipedia lets me sort this without problems. 86.139.198.92 (talk) 19:52, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Once Vocalowitter and iVocaloid have pages, this page essentially be redundant, save for a couple of items. This means this page can be retired, but if kept, we still have things elsewhere now. See vocaloid (software), Vocaloid 2, Vocaloid 3 and Vocaloid 4. Also the pages are set up with a "basic" description of the products, but the page is laid out with the intention of editors being able to go in more depth on each product then what this page can offer to buff it out. I welcome you to do what you need to do for this article. Be Bold and all that. :) This article certainly isn't the most presentable, although it's easy enough to get the information needed out of it. I still find this page to be important and I'm glad it wasn't deleted (I didn't even know that was up for discussion at an earlier point lol.) JaykeBird (talk) 12:43, 16 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Notice of current updates and resort

edit

The Vocaloids are currently having pages made for them. The plan is to retire this page in the near future, once I am done and merge the templates with their respective engine versions. After which, this page will no longer be needed. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 17:09, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
