ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Help on adding to list of anime

edit

Hi

I was looking at the list of anime and I wanted to add to the themes that do not have a page for them.

I did a quick google search and found a website the titles to the theme I want to add are

I do not know how to add to that list. and do not want to change anything until I get the a ok and know how to add to it

Jbegle (talk) 21:16, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Jbegle: Hey there! Are you talking about anime opening/ending theme songs (the songs that play while the credits are shown)? Or do you mean the anime's genre (such as Nichijou being in the "comedy" genre, or Fullmetal Alchemist being of the "action" and "adventure" genres)? And what list are you looking at? I'm sorry for barraging a bunch of questions at you, but I want to understand what you're trying to do so I can help :) JaykeBird (talk) 21:22, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi
No sorry I guess I should have specified what I was meaning. now I can't find the page I was looking at — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jbegle (talkcontribs) 23:03, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Jbegle: Alrighty. Well, once you have page again, let me know! I'd be more than willing to help! JaykeBird (talk) 23:07, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ok I found it now
It is this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_anime Jbegle (talk) 23:15, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jbegle: Okay, the list of lists of anime page, basically lol. So, you want to add some anime shows to one of the lists on that page? JaykeBird (talk) 23:48, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@JaykeBird: Yes I would like to add the anime to the links that do not all ready have a page such as the josei animes and seinen such as those that are not linked to anything. Jbegle (talk) 22:22, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jbegle: Ahh okay, so you want to create the "List of josei anime" and "List of seinen anime" pages. That'd be an admirable and helpful task! I must say, though, that there's probably a decent number of josei and seinen anime, so it'll take you a while to find it all.
I'd say the first thing to do is look at the other lists and see how they're made, and try to replicate that in your article. You can create a new article with the Article Wizard, and I can offer my assistance with helping with the new articles once they've been made. After that, I guess it's just about finding anime that fit the category and putting them in there. Would you like me to show you how to do anything? JaykeBird (talk) 22:54, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@JaykeBird: Yes It would help a lot I started with the article wizard you gave me and started with Josei anime and made a draft, and I do not know where to go from there. Jbegle (talk) 07:00, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jbegle: Okay, well, what do you have so far? (As in, a link to the draft?) JaykeBird (talk) 04:49, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@JaykeBird: Here is the link you wanted https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:List_of_josei_anime Jbegle (talk) 16:47, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jbegle: The list has to be made in Wikipedia; the article can't just be a link to another website. One of the points of these anime lists is to provide references to other Wikipedia articles that fit into that category. I'd suggest making a new draft, and actually creating a list in the article itself. Like I said, look at the other lists on the Lists of anime page copy how it looks. Once you have that, Wikipedia would be more willing to accept the draft. Also, finally, please don't link to illegal anime viewing sites, such as AnimeHere. It'd be better to direct people to actual legal places to watch anime, such as Crunchyroll, AnimeLab, Hulu, or Funimation. JaykeBird (talk) 01:42, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ah, ok I am having problems finding the anime anyway, it looks like someone took the list that were not linked off of the page. Jbegle (talk) 04:05, 18 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hover!, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page HUD. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits.
