Season 6?

Pardon me, I'm a newb. XP Where was the announcement for season 6? Also, anyone else think it's odd that it will only contain 13 episodes? It isn't a big deal, I guess, but the other seasons so far have all had 20. --Alice2 04:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

In the article it says only 13 episodes have been announced. There might be more. Also, a link to where it was announced can be found at the bottom of the article. (Clawsofmidnight (talk) 17:20, 6 December 2007 (UTC))

Alright, thanks. --63.246.240.181 (talk) 19:28, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Everythings Cool

Everything is all right now. The only problem is someone needs to put a summary on Le Big Switch. I can't do it because I haven't seen it. What do you mean? -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 23:34, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Banned in Bikini Bottom

In the summary, it says the lady bans Krabby patties because they are fun and delicious. That does not make sense! can someone fix it? (Gotiger13 (talk) 21:06, 13 December 2007 (UTC))

Well, that is actually why the Patties got "banned". It doesn't matter whether it makes sense, it happened in the episode. SpongeBob in general doesn't make sense at times. NF24(radio me!) 22:53, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Title Cards

I knew they were never coming back. But why? They were good, and the knew ones are NEVER COMING. So put them back now, and I mean it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Im A Shark (talkcontribs) 17:00, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

They were deleted because they didn't have fair use rationales. So they are not coming back. So is this clear enough? THEY ARE NEVER COMING BACK, unless Im A shark, you write 100 fair use rationales. And also i would watch yourself, you could get blocked if you carry on with your personal attacks.(172.203.236.178 (talk) 18:28, 15 December 2007 (UTC))

We are all on an equal standing. "I mean it" will get you nothing except a block for violating WP:CIVIL. 172 is right - if you want to do it all yourself, no one's stopping you, but you can't coerce other people into doing things for you. Especially since neither me nor anyone else who is an article "regular" wants to upload all those images. NF24(radio me!) 21:23, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Pest in the West

A recent commercial has begun appearing on Nickelodeon promoting their new events for 2008. Along with several other specials / shows, a "Wild West" version of SpongeBob is shown called "Pest in the West". Should we add some note of this? Setherex (talk) 19:09, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Don't add it unless you can find a source. Unfortunately, "I saw it on TV" is not a source; it actually violates WP:NOR. Try Animation Insider, TV.com, or TV Guide; even being listed at one of these sources is acceptable because it confirms the title. NF24(radio me!) 21:25, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

A little suggestion

This is just a suggestion, but how about this article be merged into Spongebob Squarepants article? what do u think? (Gotiger13 (talk) 09:35, 16 December 2007 (UTC))

Nope. It would make an already long article even longer. NF24(radio me!) 13:08, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

So? making it longer is good! y'see, if this was merged into the Spongebob Squarepants article, it would be better. You might disagree, but other people will agree. (Gotiger13 (talk) 15:04, 16 December 2007 (UTC))

To the contrary - longer articles are harder to edit and cause problems on older computers. Still, we'll see if others agree. NF24(radio me!) 16:22, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
Nope. A straight disagreeing from me. I mean look at SpongeBob SquarePants article. It's already as long as hell and with mostly nothing productive and with 9 refs for 42 kb of prose. Adding the ENTIRE list is gonna make the article even more of an eye sore. (SUDUSER)85 06:47, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

No it won't. It will improve the Spongebob Squarepants article a lot. I think that this article should be in the Spongebob Squarepants article. (Gotiger13 (talk) 07:27, 17 December 2007 (UTC))

I agree with Gotiger13. It would be best for this article. As for people saying Spongebob Squarepants is as long as hell, go and look at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and say that again.

Gotiger 13, i agree with you! (Shadowmoon13 (talk) 17:11, 17 December 2007 (UTC))

Pointing out other articles is not a valid defense. NewYork483 (talk) 03:37, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't agree with this. I think we should just have the small link in there as usual. (PhilipB (talk) 17:06, 17 December 2007 (GMT)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.175.45 (talk)

Look at other TV show articles like The Simpsons and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series); all these articles have seperate episode lists - so that's the norm; Find me one TV show article that does what you are suggesting! (SUDUSER)85 13:33, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Merging with the main article is a very bad idea. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 22:13, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Merging the list of episodes into the show is a bad idea. the show has five seasons worth of episodes, each at least somewhat notable and they could not all be summarized in the show's page. Frank Anchor, U. S. American (talk) 04:01, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

I have a better idea! Add links to the Seasons in the Spongebob Squarepants article! (Gotiger13 (talk) 14:01, 23 December 2007 (UTC))

That is a worser idea. And i cannot disagree with you SUDUSER i have looked through some of those articles and it seems that you are right. So now i think it is best to keep it how it is for now. (Shadowmoon13 (talk) 15:41, 23 December 2007 (UTC))
I really do agree with everything that people have said. I think that the List of spongebob Squarepants episodes should stay how they are. (Sazuref (talk) 16:27, 23 December 2007 (UTC))
Welcome to wikipedia, Sazuref. But can i point out something? your spelling is bad, and i really does agree does not make sense. I corrected your spelling. Please watch in the future. (Shadowmoon13 (talk) 16:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC))

I have a good idea! Delete the whole article! it sucks! (Gralou (talk) 12:43, 1 January 2008 (UTC))

See Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion, though "This article sucks" is hardly a reason for deletion. NF24(welcome, 2008!) 12:51, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

The UK release dates are not in there! thats why it sucks. (Gralou (talk) 12:52, 1 January 2008 (UTC))

Oh. Well, if you really want to, go ahead and add them. Don't be surprised if you get reverted, though. (I honestly don't have a problem with releases in one other country, but this article has a tendency to grow rather large in a short amount of time and others might not welcome your changes.) NF24(welcome, 2008!) 12:55, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Its all about the US isn't it? to improve the article YOU need to add all the air dates of all the countrys. YOU act like the boss of the article, so i command you to do that NOW. (Gralou (talk) 12:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC))

Commanding people will get you nowhere in life or Wikipedia (except a block). NF24(radio me!) 19:08, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Gralou, you are not the boss of anybody. Anyway, i disagree. The list of spongebob episode article should stay how it is. (Elliott the king (talk) 18:09, 5 January 2008 (UTC))

Putting UK release dates would get crowed. Next thign yo uknow we woudl need Australia dates and Germany dates, etc. As the show began in the US, the US dates are more appropriate for the US. Besides, the SpongeBob SquarePants Wikia already has a list of US dates, as well as a start for Australian dates. It is more appropriate to put foreign airdates there than Wikipedia. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 00:56, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

I think the spongebob article is big enough, so you get a no from me. (Astrodog280 (talk) 18:11, 14 January 2008 (UTC))

Please

Please take the protection off, i know that some users vandalise the page, but its not fair on others that want to edit the article. (Elliott the king (talk) 18:37, 5 January 2008 (UTC))

You are registered, so wait until your account if four days old ("autoconfirmed" in wiki-lingo) and you will be able to edit. Unregistered (IP address) users were making a mess of things, so the article got semi-protected indefinitely. NF24(radio me!) 20:30, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Please add an internal link to "Sing a Song of Patrick". I created a page for that entitled "Sing a Song of Patrick (Spongebob Episode).

"Le Big Switch?"

I haven't heard of this episode. Is it real? --63.246.240.181 (talk) 18:03, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes, it certainly is. I saw it on the TV last week, so it is real. (Elliott the king (talk) 19:46, 9 January 2008 (UTC))

Search for evidence. Tis the only thing you can do, altho you could also talk to somebody about it and ask them. (Sneasel99 (talk) 20:01, 9 January 2008 (UTC))

Try TV.com for starters. NF24(radio me!) 20:36, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Teh website is pretty good. (Sneasel99 (talk) 08:13, 10 January 2008 (UTC))

New episode!

New episode called TBA. No plot summary, and no air date. More at TV.com then type in Spongebob Squarepants. Can somebody add something about it? (Astrodog280 (talk) 18:26, 14 January 2008 (UTC))

TBA, means to be announced. There's no air date, because the episode has not been announced. Therefore, we can't add anything about it until more information comes through. (Shadowmoon13 (talk) 20:26, 14 January 2008 (UTC))

Oh TBA means too be announced! okay, i guess i will delete this section. (Astrodog280 (talk) 21:08, 14 January 2008 (UTC))

Pest of the West or A Pest in the West

Is the 99th episode actually called Pest of the West? Isn't it supposed to be A Pest in the West because SpongeBob SquarePants at Wikia says so. Claimgoal (talk) 10:25, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Actually, it's neither. TV.com (which is more reliable than SBSPW) lists it as Pest *of* the West. I'm off to change it right now. NF24(radio me!) 12:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Bring back those Episode Articles right now!

You lied. You said they would return and they haven't. Whoever deleted those articles is a personal attacks removed NF24(radio me!) 17:13, 28 January 2008 (UTC). You want to be a great encyclopedia right? Well getting rid of Episode articles that clearly deserve to stay, won't help you. So bring em back NOW. (Donmardon (talk) 16:44, 27 January 2008 (UTC))

Commanding people and calling them twits is no way to get things done here and will likely lead to a block. As for the articles, it looks unlikely that they will be brought back because if the individual articles don't conform to Wikipedia:Notability (fiction), then they can be deleted at any time. Getting them to conform to the above guideline is a Herculean task in itself. With the episode count expected to reach ~113, it's just too much work to bring them all back. Sorry. NF24(radio me!) 17:32, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

personal attacks removed NF24(radio me!) 17:13, 28 January 2008 (UTC) i should be an admin on wikipedia. (Donmardon (talk) 18:06, 27 January 2008 (UTC))

Fine then. Do you want to create 100 articles, finding reviews and news stories about them? Do you want to upload 100 pictures of title cards and write 100 fair use rationales? Do you want to watch 100 articles, reverting every bad edit in sight? Hopefully by now you understand why the articles probably won't come back. And you won't become an admin with that attitude. NF24(radio me!) 21:27, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

what about when there were articles why on earth did you delete them for. people went and made those articles and you delete them all and then you start complaining about doing something that was already done. every thing was already done why do it again —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.172.156.229 (talk) 02:46, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

I wasn't the person who deleted it, though. So you got that wrong. (Donmardon (talk) 20:39, 10 February 2008 (UTC))

You guys talk about how hard it would be to write articles for 100 episodes, well, even though it may take a lot of work, it adds more information to Wikipedia. Isn't that what we want? I think it would be fine to have an article for each episode. Bring them back, yes! Catstorm 14:30, 29 February 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crystalespeon (talkcontribs)

It may be easy for you to say that "it may take a lot of work [but] it adds more information to Wikipedia". But just think about it for a moment. How long will it take to fill out 100 infoboxes...write 100 plot summaries...find 100 sources to ensure the articles meet WP:FICT...upload 100 title card images...write 100 fair use rationales...and defend 100 articles from vandalism. All told, the only way to get the episode articles back is to coordinate a large effort by the SpongeBob SquarePants WikiProject (or begging an admin to undelete them so we can add sources, but that's unlikely to happen). The only problem is, there is such an effort going on - and it's gone inactive. Sorry, but I just don't see the articles coming back in the near future. Xenon54 23:08, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Why is Atlantis SquarePantis listed as episode #92/93?

It's only one episode, even if it is the length of two. Why is it listed as episode number 92/93? --Alice2 (talk) 22:48, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Because someone changed it against consensus. I'm going to change it back right now. XENON54 | talk 23:30, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Trivia or Notes/Goofs Section

We really need one here. i think that there are some really important - ok, not really, but things that should at least be noted - things in here, such as the fact that Mini Squidward is the second mini wood puppet version of Squidward. in the episode "the paper" Squidward had one that was almost the exact came thing as Mini Squidward -Igglybuff63 (talk) 01:30, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Trivia is discouraged per Wikipedia:Trivia, which is part of the Manual of Style, so adding some would be a very bad idea. Lists of goofs and trivia usually fail the verifability policy and are considered original research. Xenon54 01:56, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, what he said. Also, I don't think the example you gave was very notable, although I had noticed it. --Alice2 (talk) 04:15, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Episode article

Why is there an episode article for Club SpongeBob / My Pretty Seahorse? Are they even back yet? Iswatch20 (talk) 21:23, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

No. It appears that they will never come back due to the difficulty in making them meet Wikipedia:Notability (fiction). If they did, it would only be for the specials (e.g. "Where's Gary?", etc.) because only they have the reviews necessary to meet the guidelines. Xenon54 12:51, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Pest of the West realease

Even though this can't be backed up with proo, i saw a commercial for Pest of the West saying it was comin in april but that's it...KIRBYGUY1 (talk) 22:17, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I saw that commercial too, but adding information you see in a commercial is considered doing original research unless you can find a video or transcript of the commercial, and even then I'm not sure that videos are accepted as sources. We'll just have to wait until a) it airs or b) it appears on something like TV Guide. Xenon54 00:03, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

What's with the episode order?

It goes up to one hundred episodes on the season 5 table, but there's no episode 96 or episode 98 listed. At all. It's just 94, 95, 97, 99, 100. And how do we know the new episodes airing are in season 6? I thought they were still part of season 5... --Alice2 (talk) 23:01, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm confused as well. The first is probably because someone removed episodes 96 and 98, put them in the season six table, and then forgot to change the number. For the second, there is absolutely no confirmation that the Gimme 5 episodes are season six. epguides.com, after being rather disorganised yesterday, has moved all the Gimme 5 episodes into season five. Xenon54 11:39, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Production codes have not been released to determine episodes 92, 96, and 98. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 23:00, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
So we'll have to wait for the rest of season 5 to come out on DVD? --Alice2 (talk) 04:27, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Request for comment: Gimme 5 season dispute

Are the five newest episodes part of season five or season six?

Production codes 81 - 100 are season five, codes 101 - 113 are season six. (It may change if more episodes are ordered for season six). -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 22:56, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Do you have a source? We can't simply assume that all the seasons are twenty episodes long. Xenon54 23:02, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Season 1 had 20 episodes. (Prod codes 1 - 20). Season 2 had 20 episodes. (Prod codes 21 - 40). Season 3 had 20 episodes. (Prod codes 41 - 60). Season 4 had 20 episodes. (Prod codes 61 - 80). The press release that announced season five says season five consists of 20 episodes. Volume 1 DVD consists of season five's first 9 episodes (Prod codes 81-89). So that makes 11 season five episodes not on DVD. Since Prod codes for episodes 90, 91, 93, 94, 95, 97, 99, and 100 have been released, they are a part of season 5. 101+ are a part of season six. I believe that Le Big Switch, Goo Goo Gas, and Pest of the West are a part of season five, but prod codes are unknown, so their season cannot be determined yet. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 23:10, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Ah, okay. I guess defending the articles from *actual* unsourced material has taken a toll on me. RfC ended. Xenon54 23:36, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
I know "Le Big Switch" is from Season 5 and so is "Pest of the West". "Goo Goo Gaas" is msot likely to be from season 5 and "Spongicus" probably from season 6. I don't know for sure about "Goo Goo Gaas" or "Spongicus" so don't poast it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.100.205.166 (talk) 23:01, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Season 7

Someone messed up the episode guide

There is no season 7 okay. Season 6 hasn't even premiered yet. And the episodes that aired in first week of March were in Season 5. Pest Of The West season 5 finale will air April 2008 and sometime after Goo Goo Gas will be aired. It's been announced that Season 6 will now consist of 26 episodes. The details have not been confirmed how many it actually is because it first said it was going to be 13 episodes.

Possibilities. 13 half hours could mean 26 11 minute shorts and Nick could have just released that to freak us out. Or it really could mean 26 half hours which would be great.

But people I'm really talking to the kids, stop coming up here and editing things that you know nothing about.
