Winning Eleven edit

World Soccer Winning Eleven 4 Final Edition has "UUDDLRLRXO" to unlock Europe All-Stars and World All-Stars teams. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.1.214.221 (talk) 22:25, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Verification edit

This list has serious verification issues. What methods can we use to verify the codes on this list? --Measure 00:59, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Does the Konami Code really do something in Jackal? I've never heared about it existing in that game, or at least, not in my version. (NES version, US release) --Dez26 17:05, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Unexpected Admin Intervention edit

Deletion per WP:NOT seems appropriate to me. Friday (talk) 01:01, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Can you think of a better way to cleanup the Konami code page without deleting relevant content from Wiki? I don't see this violating WP:NOT 1.7. It is not a list of cheat codes, as the Konami Code in some games is nothing more than an easter egg. The Konami code affects a plethora of video games and the article is neccessary to explain why it exists. This list would allow me to remove a massive amount of page-hogging information from there, and put it in a repository that could be managed seperately. --Measure 16:00, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, feel free to make a go of it. If anyone "undeletes" the page I won't edit war over it. (By the way, I "deleted" it using a form of transparent deletion, so anyone can undo it or view the history.) I don't personally tend to like "list of" pages, since they're rarely proper articles, but maybe that's just me. Friday (talk) 16:05, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Btw, there was no admin intervention here. I just made a normal edit. Sorry if that was confusing. Anyway I "undeleted" it, in case it wasn't clear how to do so. Sorry if I jumped the gun, but I don't see how lists of game codes are encyclopedia articles. Friday (talk) 16:26, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Meh, just looking for a catchy title for this section of the talk page. No hard feelings here. --Measure 16:37, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
This is not just merely a game code. The Konami Code is more than that... and a list of all the games it appeared in is relevant information.--Dez26 17:03, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
WP:NOT states "there is nothing wrong with having lists if their entries are famous because they are associated with or significantly contributed to the list topic". In this case the Konami Code is relevant to an ecyclopedia because it has been widely used in many games - so much so that developers from other companies have referenced it in their games. In this context it is useful for the reader to be aware of how widespread it has become - the range and scale of games in which it has been used and the variety of effects that it has in each of the games I believe 'significantly contributes to the list topic'. I also believe that it is correct to be presented as a seperate article in order not to clutter up the main article. Bryces 16:33, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Organization of list edit

I'm thinking it might look nicer if we split up this list by platform, and/or time. We could have a section for NES, SNES, Arcade, etc. Anybody want to help work on that? --Measure 21:38, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'd be up for splitting this by platform, but aren't some of them multi-platform? For example, featured on PC and PS? xCentaur | 07:16, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
agreed, please splitting, list is too long. 217.186.110.29 (talk) 15:43, 31 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

jardinains 1 edit

jardinains 1 (a freeware pc game) also has a cheat code that goes uuddlrlrba(up up down down left right left right b a). it grants the player the strongest ball in the game. shouldnt it be included too?--84.144.59.174 13:45, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unlcear edit

The first sentence seems unclear to me? What is meant by affect? Is it negative or positive. Sorry if im just being dumb! --81.179.144.185 13:47, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merging into the Konami Code article edit

I see no reason why this is a seperate article from the one detailing the code itself. Merging this one into the Konami Code article seems like a logical decision. FreakyMutantMan 00:46, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't know the exact rules, but Wikipedia articles usually have a different page for long lists of stuff. 74.195.104.118 (talk) 16:05, 25 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't anyone check if the code actually exists before adding a game? edit

There's a lot of games mentioned that DO NOT feature the Konami code. I removed Super C, TMNT 2 (NES), Jackal (NES). There are a lot more incorrect ones but I don't feel like removing them if some moron is going to come and re-add them all without actually confirming anything first. ReyVGM (talk) 07:15, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

But Super-C has a modified version of the konami code 173.252.35.153 (talk) 01:53, 28 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

How about Street Fighter II? edit

If I recall correctly, we used this code in order for two players to be both able to select the same character in VS Mode. This was in Street Fighter II : The World Warrior (SNES). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.83.55.131 (talk) 23:16, 31 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yep, it's the only game I've played that used it. 74.195.104.118 (talk) 16:01, 25 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

ESPN edit

Pressing Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A on http://espn.go.com/ causes unicorns to appear every time you press Enter after that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.162.186.231 (talk) 22:55, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anytime you press any keyboard key and on a timer I think. 83.104.138.141 (talk) 23:21, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

This was actually removed. it was an easter egg put in by one of the programmers but I don't think the big wigs at ESPN were happy with it. there was an article about it on Kotaku.com I'm too lazy to link to it right now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.161.214.231 (talk) 07:56, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Facebook edit

Facebook also accepts this code and some halo circles appers on the screen —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.217.43.155 (talk) 16:38, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is already a page for websites using the konami code, it appears this page is just for games.Tordre (talk) 00:59, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Actually, it seems that anything that uses the Konami code, even as an easter egg, is on this article. Cybersteel8 (talk) 22:27, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I can't seem to make it work on Facebook; it may already be gone. I need to make sure first, though. Do I enter the code while the cursor is on the email box, or the cursor isn't there? Alphapeta (talk) 03:05, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have a feeling this easter egg has been disabled, but I can't think of any motive for Facebook to do so. It used to be done after clicking in an empty space on the screen so that the cursor is not in a text box. Try scrolling down the screen after it's done. Cybersteel8 (talk) 22:27, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Castlevania on DS edit

I think (but I'm not realy sure) that at least the two first episodes of Castlevania on DS have a Konamy code to use somewhere so as to have a colector figurine.

Major League Baseball Featuring Ken Griffey, Jr. edit

This game also had the code, when you entered it with Griffey at the plate, he'd point his bat to the stands, and if you made contact, it would be a home run. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.29.39.100 (talk) 15:41, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dragonball Z: Legacy of Goku edit

I'm pretty sure that this works for Dragonball Z: Legacy of Goku for Gameboy Advance. It made Goku completely invincible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.128.4.168 (talk) 21:10, 11 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Trials: Evolution edit

Code is used to get a collectible on one track, substituting b,a for a,x,a,x — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.161.229.17 (talk) 17:20, 29 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Changed "PC" to "Windows" for accuracy edit

I just replaced all references to personal computers to say "Windows" instead, PCs can (and do) run other OSes that the games wouldn't be compatible with, like ChromeOS or Linux. I would've been specific about which Windows version applied for each game, but most of their Wiki pages didn't say. —Xyzzy☥the☥Avatar 03:03, 20 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Template limits have been exceeded, forcing the need to split this article, or some other solution edit

Unfortunately, this page has landed in Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded. Just barely, as all I have to do to get back inside the limit is remove the last item (Zoo Tycoon DS). I don't know whether more items will be added to this list or not, but there isn't room for them. Looks like too many {{keypress}} transclusions to me. You could substitute that template, but that would make the source wikitext for this page more messy. Perhaps a split of the Non-Konami games to a separate article is in order. Comments? Most of Contra games from franchise use famous Konami Code. This is where Konami code got most of it's popularity actually.
