Requested move

This article should conform to the naming conventions set forth in WP:NAME and Wikipedia:Lists (stand-alone lists)#Naming conventions and be located at List of Fairy Tail members; unfortunately, one attempt to do so was overwritten with a cut-and-paste move, so it is impossible for a regular user to change. This article has been renamed from Fairy Tail Members to List of Fairy Tail members as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 06:19, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Erza or Elsa? (done)

Shouldn't エルザ be spelled Elsa? I know that this is not a direct romanization but isn't this obvious that her name is also based on a western one like ルーシイ? Or is Erza the official transskription by Del Ray? --87.168.58.174 (talk) 02:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Erza is official. It shows her name on one of the chapters, unless I'm remembering wrong. --azhurel (talk) 3:53, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
But in which one? That's my point - I can't remember myself that there'd be an official romanized name - all I could find out by now that it's the usual (and in this case useless) scanlation romanji, often copied, never questionned. E??? appears in ch.10 for the first time. There is "Heartkreuz" on her armor so I was wondering why Mashima-sensei would misspell the pronunciation of "Elsa"... --87.168.58.111 (talk) 14:32, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
I found it: Tankobon no. 2 p.119 - Erza Terrible mistake, Mashima-sensei. --87.168.47.100 (talk) 04:42, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be "Elza"? On chapter 100 of Fairy Tail, pages 11-12, there's a gravestone at the lower left inscribed to "Elza Scarlet". Elza would make sense with the katakana as well. I'm reading from the scanlation at onemanga, though it does not seem like the scanlators manipulated the headstone; they even used "Erza" in a speech bubble underneath, so my guess is that they missed it/didn't care to change the name they've been using since the start. - Snow Villiers (talk) 00:36, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

All references of her name being said have it spelled as Erza. Also see the comment under the debate about Loki, the spellings found in the Tankobon edition are official, period.Darqcyde (talk) 04:34, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, actually Mashima-san spelled her name as Elsa in chapter 22; page 14. If you pronounce that name in German for example there's also a soft "s" sound in the name. So... in fact, all those spellings are official. "Period" --87.168.47.102 (talk) 01:17, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Loki or Loke?

This is the only place where I have seen his name spelled as Loke. Which is the correct one? Gune (talk) 06:20, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

I will change it if nobody gives me a response in a few days. Gune (talk) 04:08, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't know it's the same question as above. All sources I know of are scanlations - those were pronouncing it Loki so far. --87.168.49.157 (talk) 02:46, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

I looked the article over actually after making this. Somebody changed a bunch of names around claiming they were the official translations without sourcing. So I assumed it was vandalism and changed them all back. They did it to the other character pages too. Gune (talk) 18:43, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

According to Del Ray's comics their name translations are the official ones the author wanted them to be. Apparently he sends a list of the names written in English to Del Ray's office. Loke, and Cana are the correct translations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Discobird (talkcontribs) 12:57, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Prove it then. Show an official source saying that. Any edit changing the names without a source I will change back. Gune (talk) 00:13, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

I scanned this from Volume 2 by Del Ray; [1] Discobird (talk) 19:53, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Help?

Uh, not sure if I can ask this here...but can someone let me know what chapters have flashbacks that involve Natsu? If you can, thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.143.234.255 (talk) 07:52, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Uh, that's kind of hard. Is there something you are looking for in particular? Hyakurei (talk) 01:50, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Lucky Ollietta

I added a new character, yes she does exist. Please add any images or more info on her if I missed something. Hyakurei (talk) 01:57, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Images

This article was in violation of WP:NONFREE for containing excessive non-free images in a character list. Per guidelines, at most 1-3 group images are all any character list should have, not individual images for every single character. An IP editor cleaned up the list, twice, but this was reverted. He posted a message at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga#images about this, and I have restored his edits as they were done properly (and also reminded him to use edit summaries). I've also tagged the list for having a need for a lead rewrite, less in-universe style (and less over all plottiness; See WP:WAF) and for the need for more references. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 07:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
