PS2

edit
Fair point, it does say PS2 at the end of the Year 1 trailer, but it makes no mention at the end of the Year 2 trailer. I'll reword the comment, but there needs to be a recent official source to back up adding PS2. Thanks! Fin© 15:29, 10 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're trying to say, but retail sites like Amazon aren't reliable for release dates as they habitually create their own. Thanks! Fin© 15:45, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Actually I know that Year 1 trailer it did mention for PS2 but the Year 2 trailer did not mention it but I'am not quite sure which trailers tell the right one ? Some people are not quite sure whether this game can come on PS2 or not ?
  • Note that the most recent trailer also did not mention it being on the PSP--it just says that it's on "Playstation". Perhaps they just don't want to add the fine print to say which Playstation consoles it's for!
  • I still don't get it the Year 1 trailer already mention for PS2 to come out but why is still not out yet?
  • After I heard the Year 1 trailer already confirm that Lego Harry Potter can come on PS2 but I still need some answer why this game didn't come on PS2 is it cancel or delay and what when wrong ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.48.45 (talk) 15:51, 2 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

They had intended on releasing on PS2 when it was first being developed, but since then, sales for ps2 games have dropped significantly. One would deduce then that they assumed it was not profitable to port it back to the ps2. Many titles no longer are released to ps2 including many of the EA sports titles. There are also rumors that Sony has asked develpors to stop releasing ps2 games to help sales of the ps3. Were quickly approaching the end of the lifespan of the current gen consoles (2-3 more years?) and the ps2 is a last gen console. Even stores, Target for example, are phasing out ps2 games and accessories. LHP: Y 1-4 not being released is just another sign that it is no longer a profitable venture to develop on the ps2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.99.65.10 (talk) 19:53, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

That a stupid rumors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.55.103 (talk) 16:19, 15 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't want to heard about rumors because rumors are all not right. I only want the TT games give the reason about why this game still didn't come on PS2. If the TT games can't give the reason out means they are liar and they lie in the trailers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.50.16.249 (talk) 16:42, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

But this cannot be right the last year I heard that PS2 sales rate had improved but according to the Official Sony said that they are not going to discontinue the PS2 yet or they never ask the developers to stop releasing the some new PS2 games yet. But I still found out that there are some new games going to come out on PS2 this year in the Gamefaqs site said that. So that means the Official Sony said that the PS2 will continue so on. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.164.71 (talk) 15:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I send an e-mail to TT games to find out about the release date of Lego Harry Potter for PS2 and they still never give me some answer when the Lego Harry Potter for PS2 going to come out. They first mentioned in the trailer and still never out yet. I think they lie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.52.79 (talk) 16:15, 19 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I found that VideoGamer.com, Gamestracker.com and 1up.com sites they are all both still stated that Lego Harry Potter for PS2 is TBA or TBC. I think they mean that they are not quite sure whether this game can come on PS2 or not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.162.58 (talk) 16:41, 25 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

This can't never be right of saying that Lego Harry Potter cannot come on PS2 is it the TT game company afraid can't give the reason why this game cannot come of PS2 or maybe they lied in the trailers and in the Official Site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.49.209 (talk) 15:46, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Playable characters

edit

In the gameplay section of the page, there is a minor list of playable characters. As far as I know Draco Malfoy, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Dobby, Buckbeak and centaurs have not been comfirmed in any way. So, should they be removed? 80.101.25.118 (talk) 07:25, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well, according to the source, those characters were revealed in the GameInformer magazine. Also, from what the website says, it looks like almost everybody will be playable. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:54, 16 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Legoland previews

edit

i was at legoland yesterday, and they had a room full of xbox's with this game playing, before it was released. should this be added? 82.25.130.155 (talk) 08:32, 4 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ds/DSL/DSI

edit

Perhaps we should clarify if it runs on the DS Lite? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.234.123.137 (talk) 19:57, 30 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

All DS games run on all DS systems. The DSLite and DSi are just upgrades, not new systems. Blake (Talk·Edits) 20:48, 30 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

No Online Play?

edit

I have the EU version and there is no online play, and I doubt they would put online play only in the US version. Thecrashfan101 (talk) 09:43, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The TT games company must had lied in the official site said that this game got online support but no online support. The TT games company must be a liar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.49.88.151 (talk) 15:05, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

PSP version

edit

Has the PSP version ever been confirmed? I've not seen it in any stores, or even on the PSN. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 12:07, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The UK one is delayed to dont now when I orderd from game and I got a e-mail from them saying its been changed to 30th July 2010 and the USA one is all redy out. A Candela (talk) 16:48, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The UK version of the game seems to be out according to the source, apparently it's been out since the 13th. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 21:15, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hermione Best At Casting Spells?

edit

In the Characters section, there is a claim that Hermione is the best at casting spells. What exactly does that mean? Do they do more damage? I'm about to finish the game and she certainly doesn't get any additional spells, and she seems about as effective as everyone else at casting damage spells. Additionally, you mention that Ron can summon Scabbers, so you probably want to mention that Hermione can summon Crookshanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.235.75.175 (talk) 01:32, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sequel

edit

There is a section on this page for a sequel. It looks like vandalism as there is no source. Am I right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.107.131 (talk) 15:20, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

What about Spellcasting?

edit

I am offline editor and I was browsing through article on Harry Potter videogames (I'm a total dork) and I could not help but notice that you have not included a list of spells that are included in Lego Harry Potter Year 1-4. I think that this information would be very beneficial to anybody who was trying to recieve information on this videogame. If the editor wanted to he wouldn't even have to insert the cheat spells the major spells like Wingardium Leviosa, Expelliarmus, Lumos, Incendio, Immobulus, and Reducto would suffice. I hope you find my suggestion useful. -James Pandora Adams —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.176.154.190 (talk) 01:27, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Random Cheat Codes-

edit

I don't know if this is a mistake but somebody put a random "Cheat Code-" at the end of the paragraph. You might consider deleting that. -Again James Pandora Adams —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.126.18.254 (talk) 16:37, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Potions

edit

The bit about incorrectly-created potions having adverse effects, such as turning the player into a toad, is pretty patently false - unless that's in one of the handheld versions or something? I played this game several times on 360 and it's outright impossible to make a potion incorrectly. Can someone confirm whether this adverse effects thing is from one of the other versions of the game?70.225.138.233 (talk) 22:39, 26 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I am pretty sure that was one of the first things included in the article. It might have been something the developers planned, but did not include. Blake (Talk·Edits) 00:32, 27 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
