Game Boy version

Perhaps i've been listening to bootleggers, but 7 years ago i had a chance to play my uncle's gameboy, who had a multigame cartridge in it, one of the games there being an much more "improved" version of Karateka. Probably because, from what limited information I could find, it was only released in Asia. Therefore, less English-speaking people are aware of it. (I wasn't.) Ending

The ending listed in the article is incorrect. If you run in to the same room as the princess she will be startled and kick you, killing you. If you go in to the room in a karate stance she thinks you are attacking and kicks you, killing you. You must walk in to the room so she can recognize you. • I'm afraid you're mistaken, at least on the original Apple II version. (I can't speak to other versions of the game.) The player only has two options for movement, run or attack stance; "walking" is impossible. Here's a video showing the player running into the room at the end.
