Hi User:Johneverettjones, thanks for starting and developing this article, it seems like a v. good contribution.

By the way i searched in Wikipedia on "Pieter Stadnitski" and see they are mentioned in 3 other articles. I wonder if they are notable / deserve an article too.

I mostly write about historic sites, about places listed on the US National Register of Historic Places. I wonder if the Holland Land Office or any National Register of Historic Places listings in Genesee County, New York (which includes Batavia where the land office bldg was) or any National Register of Historic Places listings in Madison County, New York (which includes Cazenovia) are associated with John Lincklaen, and might usefully be mentioned? Most of the articles on NRHP places in NYS were written with references to good NRHP documents that have discussion, even biographies, about persons associated with the places. The documents were available on a NYS system that is no longer. If you want any specific ones I could dig up copies elsewhere, usually at a NARA site, which will permanently stay available. I update NYS NRHP articles for this at a slow rate usually.

Nice job, hope you keep up your good work! Cheers, --Doncram (talk) 23:31, 22 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Pieter Stadnikski defininitely deserves a significant article. He was the major player along with Willem Willink and van Staphorst in the "negotiates" (market funds) of United States debt that was so important in the early history of the U.S. and then the promoter of further American investments that led to the Holland Land Company. There are surprisingly few references and most are in Dutch -- his role is understudied.
In addition, Pieter Stadnitski was important in Buffalo as a cultural figure due to his Polish heritage.
I have located no image of Stadnitski in my affiliated research into Paul Busti (that article also needs extensive corrections and additions, but it is better)
The largest interest in Lincklaen is shown in the research associated with his mansion, Lorenzo. I have added links there. Lorenzo would be the best jumping off spot for researchers looking more seriously into his biography. Johneverettjones (talk) 13:57, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've gone ahead and written an artice for Stadnitski that is now in the Draft section. Draft:Pieter Stadnitski — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johneverettjones (talkcontribs) 20:09, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
