Wikipedia is not a place for advertisement, we cannot afford to have commercial site links, advertisements here. Deliberately adding a image from a commercial site at the begining of the gallery is nothing but spamming and advertisement. Questions about rosa-sinensis

Recently two Hibiscus rosa-sinensis plants were planted in the back of our house. One is doing really well, but the other is looking, well, a bit sickly. I can't understand why one plant would look so good and the other would look like it lived five years of it's life in a desert. I've looked on the leaves of the ugly one. I could find hide nor hair of any bugs, why is it sick while the other is healthy? Please, are there any master gardeners who know? Botangirl 15:24, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Temperature tolerance

The article states that Hibiscus rosa-sinensis does not tolerate temperatures below 10°. That's not my experience at all; the ones I know, which look like the canonical red Hibiscus, can tolerate temperatures down to 0°. Is this an exception? Otherwise the text should be changed. Two articles on Hibiscus

There are two articles on the same subject viz Hibiscus and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. I think these pages should be merged. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sanu N (talk • contribs) 18:34, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

They are not on the same subject. One is on the genus Hibiscus, which has many species, the other is on one of the species within the genus, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. Peter coxhead (talk) 11:19, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

Native range

@Tedster007: I think we should keep eFloras ([1]). eFloras has several citations goes back to Linnaeus while Kew merely makes an assertion. Invasive Spices (talk) 24 February 2022 (UTC)
