Requested move 7 February 2024 edit

The result of the move request was: not moved. There seems to be consensus that a new article should be created for the Rob Burrow award. (closed by non-admin page mover) Bensci54 (talk) 17:36, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Harry Sunderland Trophy → ? – no longer called Harry Sunderland... Now called the Rob Burrow award. – 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 L1amw90  (🗣️ talk to me  • ✍️ contribs) 22:53, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Oppose: The RFL said this is a new award, not the renaming of the existing trophy. Nthep (talk) 07:55, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Suport With complete understanding of the point made by Nthep. Both awards are are for the exact same thing, the MotM of the Grand Final. I think the point about its a replacement not a remaining can be covered in the article. I don't see the need of having two articles for the same thing. With this project's record of duplicating content, it's almost a given at some point. Even if we find a suitable name like List of RFL Final Man of the Match winners, you can bet your bottom dollar that someone would spin off the Championship Final winners and Premiership Final winners into separate articles.
We can always edit the navbox to show all the winners of both trophies. Nthep (talk) 10:24, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
To be honest I wouldn't like that title or similar so maybe seperate articles is better provding both adequately link to each other. Mn1548 (talk) 14:16, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: Create a separate article for the new award. All the major news sites are reporting that the trophy is being replaced rather than renamed, so they should be treated as two different awards. There might be an argument to rename if this was just a list of Grand Final winners, but the Harry Sunderland Trophy long predates the existence of the Super League.
