Birthplace edit

It seems unclear whether the subject was born in Punjab or Chandigarh. Some sources support the former claim (e.g. [1], [2], [3], [4], etc.) while others the latter, e.g. see here. One thing is clear that her family hails from the Gurdaspur district of Punjab and has been staying in Punjab's Kharar since 2008, e.g. see [5], [6], [7], etc. Note that Punjab is a state (governed by the Punjab government) while Chandigarh is a union territory (governed by the Central government).

We are hosting the Chandigarh claim since 30 September 2021 – Mims Mentor added it with this edit – although I doubt that there was any reliable source supporting this claim at that point in time. What I don't doubt is the pathetic state of Indian/Pakistani media, which regularly copy-paste unsourced content from this project. And many WP:Mirrors of this detail may have already been present in the mainstream Indian newspapers. Anyway, we need to be certain about her birthplace before mentioning it in the main space, as this a WP:BLP.

I don't have free time now but will look at this again in a day or two. Thanks. - NitinMlk (talk) 22:25, 13 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Harnaaz Sandhu's height is incorrect. She is much shorter than stated. Her actually height is 1.69. Based on the photo of her with Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane who is 1.75m, it is obvious Sandhu is shorter. AngelAarthiR (talk) 15:29, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I've just removed the height. I don't see where it is sourced from currently and a cursory google search for her height is unclear - I don't know enough about beauty pageantry to know which sites meet RS for them. Also don't really see this information as particularly relevant to her notability Cannolis (talk) 21:53, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Change her height is 1.75 m (5ft 9in) as per Miss india 2019 Wikipedia page. Mkrjr97 (talk) 13:54, 6 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not done: There is a source cited here for the five-foot-nine height. Other Wikipedia articles are not sources. RudolfRed (talk) 22:57, 6 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Correction edit

ManaliJain, could you please correct the image syntax and caption in infobox as someone has used wrong Syntax. 2409:4063:6D90:CAA7:BF2A:718E:920:62B3 (talk) 16:08, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Infobox image consensus edit

There are two images now suggested:

Selection criteria should use Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images. Sciencefish (talk) 11:35, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

MOS:IMAGEQUALITY alone makes the second choice more preferable. The image emphasizes on Sandhu the most and the lighting is less harsh. It is also centered on her more and has no watermark, both reasons makes the second photo the clear choice for the infobox. EdrianJustine (talk) 08:28, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I agree with EdrianJustine. I too favor the second image as it's recent, watermark-less, well subject-centered and has better quality. ManaliJain (talk) 14:02, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
