Merge?
editThis article really has no point in standing separately. Most teams have charitable foundations and none are notable enough to warrant a separate article. Therefore, this paragraph should probably be merged into Green Bay Packers. Pats1 T/C 21:26, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. The only reason I knew this was here was because the main Packers article listed the foundation as being the team's owner. It's better listed in the main article.DrBear 18:37, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Based on current sources, it is now a notable charity. I have created the article. Cheers, « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 20:40, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Initial review
Lead
edit- No issues.
History
edit- The placement of ref 1 seems slightly odd, being placed simply after Pairns' name with no real information. Perhaps move it further down?
- Is there any expansion potential for this section? Seems a little short as a history section, notable former board members perhaps? The foundation's record donation could be worth including.
Organization
edit- I would link 501(c)(3) organization in the opening sentence of this section. Although it's linked in the lead, it's an unusual thing and we shouldn't expect the reader to have to scroll back to find the meaning. WP:OVERLINK allows one linked mention after the lead also.
Images
edit- Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Captions would encourage links in picture captions. Lambeau Field and the Packers links could be included here.
References
edit- I think you've taken care of any minor issues here, all refs are correctly formatted.
Overall, as a short article, there's very little of concern. I'd hope the history section could be enlarged if possible. Placed on hold for now. Kosack (talk) 18:51, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks Kosack! I made the easy fixes here. Let me look into expanding the history section a bit. I still haven't been able to find a good source form the 1980s about its being formed. Wish I had a Newspapers.com membership! « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 21:27, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
- Kosack, I haven't been able to find any additional details/sources of the history of the organization. For the first 20 years or so, it seems like it was a pretty minor charitable organization and it really hasn't had a whole lot of coverage until about 5-6 years ago when the total amount of giving skyrocketed. I did at a note about the $1.25 being a record, but I added it lower in the activities section because that is where I mentioned the 2018 award. See here. Let me know if you have any other concerns. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 13:40, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Gonzo fan2007: No worries, if the sources aren't there, then we can't expect anymore for GA level. No further concerns, promoting. Kosack (talk) 15:37, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
