Oroweat doesn't seem to be owned by George Weston, but rather by Grupo Bimbo. But there appears to be some commonality between Oroweat products and George Weston's Arnold products. Anyone have the story?

T&T edit

Why is T&T listed as owned by George and Weston? They are owned by Loblaw. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AFanCorp (talkcontribs) 07:12, 31 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Splitting proposal edit

With the upcoming sale of Weston Foods (ie. Weston Bakery), one article won't do anymore. George Weston Limited will be for the remaining assets (Loblaw Companies and Choice Properties) and Weston Foods will be for the bakery-related content. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 14:48, 23 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I agree that the bakery business is now going its own way, and if the deal goes through it makes sense to me that a new article should cover the new entity with some of its history as part of George Weston repeated. My Gussie (talk) 01:08, 5 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
It was announced that the assets of Weston Foods are being sold to more than one buyer. Since those assets are being dispersed and there will no longer be one separate entity that can be identified as the continuation of Weston Foods, then I don't feel that a separate article is required. -- Blairall (talk) 19:22, 20 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Agreed that this article should be updated to reflect the final fate of the bakery business. New articles could be created for the newly expanded companies (FGF Brands and Hearthside Food Solutions) that between them acquired the the Weston Foods business. My Gussie (talk) 08:22, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
