Bowen Family Trust & Estate edit

This is a joint account held by members of the Bowen Family Trust & Estate. We have cited earlier points to the information, believing it not only relevant but also wish to discuss missing or factually incorrect entries concerning his war time activities (several battles missing, missing awards, etc). We cited not only the Chicago Tribune, but also the Hall of Valour Project. We will be uploading documents from our war time artefact collection as well. We also further strongly point out that other pages have personal life of biographies and are allowed to discuss family members of note and importance. The Trust and Estate was not notified nor was requested for information regarding Frank S. Bowen Jr. and strongly object to any faulty information being published about him or his family.

Further, we recently moved most of the military artefacts, paintings and records to the war museum of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. We will be accessing these records to further cite our evidence by the help of US Army Major Michael Kelly within the coming days. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alphalegionnaire (talkcontribs) 07:35, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Copying over what I just put on your Talk Page: All changes on Wikipedia must be based on WP:RS. Your changes to Frank S. Bowen were not based on reliable sources which is why I deleted them. When your edits are reverted you must follow WP:BRD and discuss the issues on the Article's Talk Page, and not WP:Edit war by reinstating your edits. As you are clearly related to the subject you have a WP:Conflict of interest and so your edits will be more closely scrutinized than other uninvolved editors. Finally extended details of other members of the Bowen family is not relevant to the page and will be deleted. Mztourist (talk) 07:41, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Alphalegionnaire first don't add in further comments when someone has replied to your earlier comments as you did here [1], add them as a new indented paragraph. I don't see any Chicago Tribune reference. The only references that you appear to have added are findagrave and legacy.com which are not WP:RS. While some minimal information regarding the direct family of the subject is permitted the changes made to the Personal Life section far exceed what is permissible and are not based on WP:RS. With regard to the comment that "The Trust and Estate was not notified nor was requested for information regarding Frank S. Bowen Jr. and strongly object to any faulty information being published about him or his family" Wikipedia has no obligation to seek the consent of anyone to write a page based on WP:RS. If there is any "faulty information" about Frank S Bowen then that can be corrected if WP:RS are provided, but as far as I can see the only issue is lack of detail, not "faulty information". With regard to "his family" as noted above only minimal detail should be included as this is a page about Frank S. Bowen, not his nephew or great-nephew. Finally if you bothered to read WP:Conflict of interest you would see the following statements: "Editors with a COI should follow Wikipedia policies and best practices scrupulously: you are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly you may propose changes on talk pages" Mztourist (talk) 08:17, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
