Second sentence in 1863 section makes little sense. Polish Legions in Italy during the Napoleonic wars were part of the French army, and France was at war with Italian states. --DonaldDuck (talk) 16:28, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Polish Legions in Italy fought on both sides. France also fought against Austria, another power at war with the Italian states. From that article: "Dąbrowski's Legions were first used against Austrians in Italy, where Poles who had a natural sympathy for people fighting for their own independence saw the Italian cause for independence as similar to that of their own.".
