additional history information edit

I have an old newspaper on the history of the company and its founders. For citing it where should I upload the scanned images so it can be easily accessed? Steakismeat (talk) 05:54, 10 January 2023 (UTC)SteakismeatReply

"was" vs "is" edit

Why does the first sentence say First Data *was* a financial services company...? Does the company no longer exist? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.95.52.178 (talk) 21:21, 15 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

because it may well not exist now. I can't track down its ticker code, and its website (listed on investing.com returns a blank page Chrismorey (talk) 17:10, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Correct, First Data was acquired by Fiserv in July 2019.

second paragraph content edit

Greetings,

The second paragraph's content in the introduction reads like an advert: "First Data’s 22,000 owner-associates are dedicated to helping local businesses"

I would like to recommend a less flowery description here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.85.117.13 (talk) 13:19, 1 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Copy edit edit

In order to reflect changes in staff, recent developments, and improve the overall quality of the article, I was bold and made a -in my opinion- decent copy edit. If you think further changes are needed, or you have some comments on how my edits could be improved, please contact me on my talk page! Company headquarters? edit

Hello, can we confirm First Data's headquarter location. Per Fortune, the HQ is not Atlanta but NYC. Stephenbharrison (talk) 03:22, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Done You're correct. I've made the necessary changes. Cheers. --AYDaBoss (talk) 02:26, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

FirstData's headquarters is in Atlanta and has been for some time and was not in New York at the time of these previous comments. I would recommend being careful at making quick decisions from single sources from the press when you can check with the original source. Per their own website First Data, they are headquartered in Atlanta. They have offices in many different locations to be near a variety of clients and work with different state's and country's regulations. They have been headquartered in Atlanta since 2009.[1] However, it is worth noting that Firstdata was bought out by Fisserv, headquartered in Wisconsin. Currently, FirstData is still headquartered in Atlanta, but this will need to be watched in the near future. Cwkimbro (talk) 23:26, 26 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Pay ratio -- add to info box edit

I would like to see the pay ratio, and possibly associated data like median pay and CEO pay added to the infobox. I have mentioned this article where I requested a "pay ratio" parameter be added to the infobox for that purpose: Template_talk:Infobox_company#Pay_ratio. --David Tornheim (talk) 13:41, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
