Troop Strength edit
This is an article from the "Confederate States order of battle at the first bull run". But here don't standing the total troop strength.

Question of command edit
Is anybody able to explain to me why Johnston was considered to be Beauregard's senior although he received his commission as a Confederate brigadier AFTER Beauregard (14 May vs. 1 March)? --Reibeisen (talk) 20:16, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- Johnston was a Brigadier General in the ACSA, the Confederate regular army, while Beauregard's rank was in the PACS, the provisional wartime army. Regular officers were automatically senior to non-regular officers of the same rank, regardless of the dates of their commissions. ...GELongstreet (talk) 20:45, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
