Mistake in the expression F-Center vs. color center

edit

Hey,

just a suggestion. The Article starts with this being called an F center, since the term F Center describes a specific kin of color center it is not correct to use the word Farbzentum (german translation).

To put it in different words the class is the Farbzentrum or color center, the subclasses of this class are e.g. F-centers, M-centers, and R centers.

Hi all, I wanted to stimulate further discussion based on the above user's comment. I noticed a sentence in the lead of this article that says, "F centers are a type of color center." To me, this makes me wonder why there isn't an article for "color centers" if they are supposed to be a more encompassing category? ("Color center" redirects to this article, "F-center".) Are there any experts who'd be willing to provide some insight? Thanks!! — QB2k (talk) 08:25, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Agreed the lead paragraph of this article could be clearer and more precise as @QB2k pointed out. I also strongly dislike the last sentence of the section about zinc oxide, but I don't know enough about the subject to feel confident either deleting it or clarifying what the point of that sentence is supposed to be.
This article on the whole needs a lot of help from a subject matter expert who is also good at English. But that's a lot of wiki I guess. Brightnsalty (talk) 04:16, 20 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
