Sequencing edit

I suppose a section on Exon Sequencing could fit in here http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/171726.php — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.201.80.89 (talk) 08:31, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Transcriptome edit

This should explain the difference between exome and transcriptome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tedtoal (talkcontribs) 18:54, 13 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Exome Sequencing vs. Genome Sequences edit

It could be useful to explain the importance in sequencing the exome and including a counterpoint on how sequencing the whole genome may actually be a bit more useful for mutation identification. Cindycchu (talk) 00:45, 8 October 2019 (UTC)CindycchuReply

Updated Exome Page edit

As a part of Nils Walter's Nucleic Acids course during Fall 2019, we updated this page with relevant sections. We added an exome sequencing section, as discussed in the talk page, and explained the difference between the transciptome and exome (also discussed on talk page). Images were added for clarification. Pragpats (talk) 20:35, 19 November 2019 (UTC)pragpatsReply

Duplications? edit

There appears to be some duplicated information in different sections of the page. Most notably, reference 5 and 17 are identical and referenced from two copies of the same sentence in two places in the page. Rob Hooft (talk) 12:19, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
