A sourced quotation in the AA dismissal section infringes on the Avoid Victimization rule by providing too much detail, giving over emphasis to the conflict and jeopardizing neutrality WP:AVOIDVICTIM. The quote was removed. Oikoumenikos2 (talk)

Disagree. WP:AVOIDVICTIM applies when "writing about a person noteworthy only for one or two events". In my opinion, the Franch article establishes noteworthiness over a wide range of events, and to not give reasons for her dismissal raises more questions than it answers. Quote reinstated. The newly added Quotes section does not fit with Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Apart from attribution to Franch, their relevance is unclear - see WP:Quotes about quotations needing to be pertinent, with relevance explained. Also it says specifically "Avoid stand-alone quote sections; use Wikiquote instead" [emphasis added]. I think this should be deleted. Paul W (talk) 16:41, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Paul W, I couldn't find how the Quotes section doesn't fit into the MoS. Franch is a public figure who is known for her quips, so a section of notable examples is warranted. I saw that the Hans Ulrich Obrist page has a Quotes section, so decided to add one here. Both Obrist and Franch are curators and public figures. I may have slightly misled you in talking generally about the MoS, but did you read WP:Quotes? Where is the reliable source that says she "is known for her quips"? And just because another article has a Quotes section (in fact, just one) does not make it relevant to this article (see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). Paul W (talk) 22:20, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
