Some thoughts
editThe Epitome helped to spread Kepler's ideas, but it is a matter of opinion whether it should be called "influential".
Publication date of first volume of first edition
editI have found no evidence that the first volume of the first edition appeared in 1617, although the Epistola dedicatoria is dated August 1617. However, title pages attest instead to 1618 -- as does the title page of the volume displayed on the page -- and no 1617 date is found in WorldCat. The DNB authority link also asserts 1618 as the first date. Unless convincing evidence is presented here within the next few days, I will change the publication date of the first volume of the first edition from 1617 to 1618. Or, if you are as convinced as I am, please change it yourself... Belastro (talk) 23:15, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
