A complicated Species edit

I have been very short on time lately but I will endeavor to get this one well started. Will take a few days. I will add a synonymy in here also so as to show the naming issues. Cheers. Faendalimas (talk) 19:13, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Conservation status edit

ahh hate that this stuff is still around. The Bellingen River Emydura is an introduced population, its always been rare, but since it is not a natural population it should not be there at all. Emydura macquarii is one of the most widespread and common species of turtle in Australia. At local levels there are of course some populations getting knocked around a bit but management is at the species level. Cheers, Faendalimas talk 01:52, 14 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Synonymy, please use most recent. edit

When doing a synonymy you need to use the most recent. The Emydura macquarii complex has 4 subspecies these days, the most recent is that of Rhodin et al., 2011, not Fritz and Havas, 2007. Cheers, Faendalimas talk 13:26, 7 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
