Image review

Posting one here per a request on my talk page.

Yeah, I remember that scene of her with Ryan Gosling – funny. Anyway, thanks.
I think it is beneficial. This is where her acting career began so it's a very relevant image.

Best of luck at FAC! Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:24, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks! Sorry I didn't wait for your review and closed the PR. Anyway, I will nominate the article this weekend. FrB.TG (talk) 20:30, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Sexy Sex Sexy Sex-Sex

The paragraph below, pasted from the "Media image" section, is the paragraph, I'm referring to...

"In 2009, she featured in AskMen's Top 99 Women, FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World, and Maxim magazine's Hot 100; the latter also placed her on the list on three other occasions—2010, 2011, and 2014. She continued to be featured in AskMen's annual beauty lists from 2010 to 2015, ranking among the top forty each year. In 2011, she appeared in Victoria's Secret's list of What is Sexy? as the Sexiest Actress. She was mentioned in several other media outlet lists that year, including People magazine's 100 Most Beautiful Women, each of FHM's and FHM Australia's 100 Sexiest Women in the World, and Men's Health magazine's 100 Hottest Women. She was ranked sixth on Empire's list of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars in 2013. Stone was named the best dressed woman of 2012 by Vogue and was featured in similar listings by Glamour in 2013 and 2015, and People in 2014. In 2017, Buzznet named her one of the world's most beautiful women."

Is it just me, or does the final paragraph in the "Media image" section (above) read like a tabloid piece written in the 1970's, rather than an encyclopedia article on a well regarded professional actress in the modern era... Is it really appropriate to focus so much on, quite frankly, misogynistic and sexist opinions on how certain publications view her in these disgusting sexiness ranking lists? I thought we were moving past all this, but apparently not... I move the whole paragraph be deleted, or edited to remove any mention of her sexiness level, or these sexist lists of how hot (or not) she is. Any thoughts or consensus? Change "first son" to "first child"

The baby's gender and name have not been disclosed. The cited article does not include the gender. 76.9.167.69 (talk) 14:06, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Please change "In March 2021, they had their first child, a daughter." to "In March 2021, they had their first child, a daughter named Louise Jean McCary. The actress's middle name is also Jean, a tribute to her grandmother Jean Louise, meaning her daughter's name is simply a reversal of her great-grandmother's."

Not done: See WP:BLPNAME. Usually we don't include the names of the children of BLP subjects unless those children are notable in their own right, out of respect for their privacy. ‑‑Volteer1 (talk) 17:19, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Intro section

The word “sequel” is mistakenly used in the second paragraph:

“After small television roles, she made a sequel of teen comedy films…”

This presumably should read as “a series of…”Chuck Marmo (talk) 20:12, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Chuck Marmo, thanks for pointing this out. I hope I've addressed it properly. Elizium23 (talk) 20:14, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Television debut in lead

Hello everyone. User:KyleJoan and I have a disagreement over name dropping of In Search of the New Partridge Family in the lead. The project produced only an unsold pilot and it feels like such an unnecessary mention since it's not notable in her career and is an obscure title in her resume. Thoughts? The One I Left (talk) 16:49, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Emma Stone/archive2. Your disagreement is with every user that supported passing this version of the article, which contains that claim, as a FA. I'm simply maintaining that consensus. KyleJoantalk 17:03, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

In the career section it lists her performances on SNL, 2023 needs to added putting her in the 5 timers club. 2600:1004:B108:9874:5D56:955B:C0F:85AB (talk) 17:58, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Shadow311 (talk) 19:39, 12 December 2023 (UTC)

Best actress in lead mention

"She is the recipient of various accolades, including two Academy Awards...", I'd added "for Best Actress" at this point and that has been removed without explanation. Seems a key point in her chosen professional career, so would like to add it back without deletion. Anyone object? Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 14:59, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

Please remove the pointless spoiler "a resurrected suicide victim" in the protected text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.70.1.105 (talk) 10:49, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

I agree, it does seem needlessly descriptive. Why not just replace it with just her name, Bella Baxter? The One I Left (talk) 15:43, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
Fictional character name means nothing without context or a wikilink. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:43, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
I mean they can easily click on the title of the film. The semi-spoiler / overly descriptive mention seems unnecessary. The One I Left (talk) 20:42, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
We don't determine what material to include based on how spoiler-y it is per WP:SPOILER. This isn't X. KyleJoantalk 02:36, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
Regardless it does seem overly descriptive. The One I Left (talk) 03:43, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
Overly descriptive would be "a Victorian woman who commits suicide and is then resurrected with the brain of her baby by a mad scientist"; "a resurrected suicide victim" is just fine. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:01, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
I respectfully disagree, both are overly descriptive, one more so than the other, but both nonetheless. The One I Left (talk) 08:48, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

Grammar! In the Career, under “Films with Yorgos” section, there is an erroneous second “her” in this sentence: “ Stone received her her fifth Golden Globe nomination and third Oscar nomination for The Favourite… “. Nycodi (talk) 04:47, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

Name in infobox

Since some editors seem to want to edit war over this, Template:Infobox person says the name entry of the box should be "Common name of person (defaults to article name if left blank." As the article name is "Emma Stone" it would default to that name. Making it "Emily Stone" is needlessly confusing. There is no consensus on this talk page for a name change. filmography?

hello, I usually turn to wikipedia for an actor's filmography, but unless I'm blind and not looking correctly I don't see one for her? or even a link to her's? 174.245.228.109 (talk) 11:03, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
