How about some dates for the origin? JKeck (talk) 23:29, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Possible duplicated article edit

This article is very similar to drone music. It may be preferable to perform a merge and use one of them as a redirection page.--Isacdaavid (talk) 03:22, 4 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

The articles are not at all similar. This article is about an ancient musical device or element. Drone music is about a genre that developed in the latter half of the 20th century. __ Just plain Bill (talk) 03:50, 4 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Totally agree with original point. They are only 'not at all similar' in that they cover different time frames. A merged article would offer a complete chronology. 'Drone music' should at least link back. RubyJester (talk) 14:39, 24 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Need to look at the Chopin mazurka reference edit

It says "all five contain a drone" - apparently referring to the 5 mazurkas of Opus 7 but this isn't specified. Chopin wrote 59 mazurkas. So probably Opus 7 should be specified, or better yet, the locations of the drones in these 5 mazurkas specified. I'd do it myself, but I'm not a mazurka expert and don't want to get it wrong ("first, do no harm"). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevintimba (talkcontribs) 06:02, 6 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
