Wow, this article made it to the main page today, yet it doesn't have a single photo? What the...? You'd think with 12,000 of the little buggers in Florida alone, someone could find at least one to grab a picture of. --Brownings (talk) 22:31, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Page name: Ctenosaura pectinata, western spiny-tailed iguana, or Mexican spinytailed iguana?

Given the long history of numerous common names, in some cases the same common names, having been applied to three different species of Ctenosaura, and a history of taxonomic confusion among the species, I would suggest the name of this page be changed back or redirected to the Latin name Ctenosaura pectinata. --WiLaFa (talk) 01:47, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

The name Mexican spiny-tailed iguana is not the currently accepted standardized name. Using the common name for this page is inconsistent with all other 14 species in the genus on Wikipedia.
