I am notifying you of my intentions to start reviewing this Article for Good Article status. Expect a full review to be out in a week at most, probably either tomorrow or Friday. Danielyng (talk) 20:13, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
@Danielyng:
- Hi, and thanks for taking on this review! Armadillopteryx 20:37, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Jurysith: Do you still intend to review this article? Armadillopteryx 02:13, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Armadillopteryx, since Daniel seems to be inactive in GARring, I'll take over his position for a portion. He will have to be, though, the one closing it; I'll simply help this be leveled with a GA. GeraldWL 17:17, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Gerald Waldo Luis: Nice to see you here! Thanks for reviewing. Armadillopteryx 21:56, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

edit- Link New Jersey in "the state"? GeraldWL 17:24, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
Description
edit- "Owned by Paul Binetti, Club Feathers is the last operational gay nightclub in North Jersey"-- is this implying that it is the only GNC in NJ? If so, suggest clarifying to "last standing." GeraldWL 17:24, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- It's the only one remaining in North Jersey, yes (there are others in South Jersey). The sources didn't explicitly mention what others may have existed in Northern NJ in the past, but they did imply that Feathers is the only one still open. I think "last" and "last standing" say the same thing, but "last standing" isn't very formal writing, IMO. Armadillopteryx 21:56, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- This sentence is supported by two citations. Since R1's presence there is simply to support the identity of the owner, suggest relocating R1 to after "Paul Binetti." GeraldWL 17:24, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Similar case on the sentence after, as well as sentence 4. GeraldWL 17:24, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Done. Armadillopteryx 21:56, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Armadillopteryx, I would note 4 similar cases in "History." GeraldWL 12:52, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Gerald Waldo Luis: I deleted the first ref from the sentence that was cited by refs 1, 2 and 3, as 2 and 3 source the whole sentence, while 1 only sourced a part. In the sentence sourced by 1, 6 and 7, all three refs cover the whole sentence. For the sentence sourced by 3, 4 and 6, the first two refs cover the whole sentence, while 6 only covers the chef—however, the chef comment is both preceded and followed by facts that came from refs 3 and 4. Armadillopteryx 18:02, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Armadillopteryx, thanks for the breakdown, now I think it's all good. Also if you're wondering why I'm still up, it's prolly just for today-- I have a Cobra Kai marathon on YT Premium 24h before it I have to pay for it again. [sigh] Time zone sucks. GeraldWL 18:33, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- In that case, enjoy your series binge Armadillopteryx 18:36, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

- "its weekly event calendar normally includes"-- suggest rewording to "it has a weekly event calendar which normally includes." GeraldWL 17:24, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- IMO this makes the sentence more wordy and does not improve flow or clarity. Armadillopteryx 21:56, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

History
edit- Italicize "de facto." GeraldWL 12:59, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not sure it should be. MOS:FOREIGNITALIC says:
Loanwords or phrases that have been assimilated into and have common use in English ... do not require italicization.... [D]o not italicize words that appear in multiple English dictionaries.
Looking at De facto, the term is only italicized when it's a word as a word (mostly in the lead). Otherwise, it's not italicized (in all the examples in the prose). Articles like De facto standard and De facto currency do not use italics at all. Armadillopteryx 17:52, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not sure it should be. MOS:FOREIGNITALIC says:
- Remove r2 in "The original owner fought back despite the persistent harassment," as r2 is taken care in "It has helped find work and housing for individuals who have been kicked out of their homes, sometimes footing the bill for their rent." GeraldWL 12:59, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Mind linking the "duct" it is referring to? GeraldWL 12:59, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Link drag queen? GeraldWL 12:59, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- It's linked at its first use (in the Description section). Armadillopteryx 17:47, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Pissi Myles is redlinked. Is the person really notable? If yes, is there an interwiki link? Or if no, is there a related article? I would link to either. If she's not notable, remove the link as RLs are unappealing visually. GeraldWL 18:35, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- I created that redlink per WP:REDYES. If you Google her name, there's some independent coverage of her. I think an article could potentially be written, and this way it won't be an orphan per WP:REDYES. I don't feel too passionately about this, though, so I can remove the link if you feel strongly. Armadillopteryx 18:38, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Armadillopteryx, don't mind that-- if you look at my userboxes you can tell I encourage redlinks, ofc, where appropriate. If you are that couraged, you can prolly make a stub on it based on those sources-- this is ofc just some small stuff I'm throwing out. I gotta head back to bed soon, so... hat tip! GeraldWL 18:41, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Gerald Waldo Luis: Ideally, I'd like to create that article, but I just haven't got the time right now. I'll remove the redlink, since I don't care too much either way. Armadillopteryx 18:44, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Armadillopteryx, nah, as I said, I encouraged actually-right redlinks. It's, ofc, up to you. GeraldWL 18:45, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

editFor me, this has passed GA. At least IMO-- the formal reviewer is Daniel and thus he must be the one determining and closing. I would hope for at least one image depicting the restaurant in distant future. GeraldWL 16:57, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

- Gerald Waldo Luis, thank you for the review! Jurysith, are you willing to close this review? Do you have any additional comments? Armadillopteryx 17:22, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- Armadillopteryx, Sidenote: this is the same case in Talk:Fuller's Coffee Shop/GA1. I think if Daniel does not respond in significantly long period, there should be a second reviewer pass. GeraldWL 17:25, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Gerald Waldo Luis: Agreed. I'm watching both pages. Armadillopteryx 17:27, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

- I've asked if there's a place to request a review close, since we're not getting any replies from the editor who opened the review page. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:06, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
- I have just posted a note on Jurysith's talk page, giving them until the end of 2020 to either continue the review or post here that they won't be doing so. At that point, another reviewer (Gerald Waldo Luis?) should feel free to take over and continue/conclude the review. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:00, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- BlueMoonset, [smiles sinisterly] Is for me?
- Then sure, this article's Passed. GeraldWL 17:05, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- Um, Gerald Waldo Luis, it is still 2020. Please do wait until the end of 2020 to do the final determination, aka the beginning of 2021. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:50, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
